    Hey guys, My car (2004 GT, 5-speed) is making a weird grinding/rubbing noise which sounds like its coming from the rear end. It only happens when I'm slowing down from like 10mph-0 and sometimes when I put it in reverse and move backwards slowly. It just makes a grunt for about 1-2 seconds...

    I've been reading alot, and seems like alot of guys put in a catch can to alleviate all of the oil problems. Anyone have any pictures of this installed and what lines it is supposed to go through? And a link where I can buy one from? :nice:

    Thanks for the replies guys, feel alot more confident. Really never would have expected oil to be getting in there, just gotta watch it and make sure it doesnt drip down onto my MAF and air filter

    No kidding!? Weird, my oil separators on both lines really don't collect anything... is it still possible its just blowing by the separators completely? is there any way oil may be coming in through the bypass valve?:shrug:

    Overall, do you think its worth it for me to cut my losses and get speedhut gauges or try to find a Mach cluster like yours? I can't find ANY Mach/Bullitt clusters for a decent price at all... sucks.

I put a breather on my drivers side valve cover, and a oil separator on the passenger side just this weekend.     Thanks guys for all the replies. Come to think of it, those pics of the oil cap and pcv were mainly after a 15-20 minute ride to AutoZone and back... Ill keep an eye on my coolant and make sure it is ok. Guess it looks like the blower is going to have to come off :( Public Transportation...

    Ill have to check the coolant tonight, didn't even look actually. If it is low, what exactly does that mean when the oil is mixing with the coolant... is the motor going to be f'd? These pictures are the second go-around of the oil in the powerpipe area, I didn't have pictures of the first...

    I change the oil every 3K miles, so thats not the problem. Car has 26K miles on it only as well. Blower leaking is the last thing I wanted to hear :( Thanks for all the help everyone...

    Is there any way possible that it may just be extra oil that got inside the head unit that is coming out now? I'm just trying to figure out any other ways that this may not require taking the head unit out, never expected this to happen on a new piece on my daily driver :(
