Special Edition Mustang or Just an Option Code - Buck Tag on a Wrecking Yard Car

I think it must be a 98, but I have no idea about that tag, unless it may have been a Cobra and so many things are missing now, ya might not be able to tell right off hand. There is a chance the tag was added by mistake, of course. It happens very rarely though, I'm sure. My DD has an...

A couple pics of the 93

If mine was that clean I'm not sure I'd need a dinner table OR dishes! Good job... Looks really nice. ;)

what kind of oil? for 2011 5.0.

My last 4 Fords came from the factory with synthetic blend, unless someone lied to me. I always get my oil changes done at a dealer too, because they claim to use only synthetic blend unless otherwise requested, plus I think that's a fine choice for general use. They also do it quicker than me...

FDAF Assessment, what is that and why did i pay $240 for it?

 :rlaugh: Indeed... As to the last question, the price has probably gone up considerably over the past 6yrs. Still, $683 seems excessive to me. On the other hand, $240 did... Best wishes on that '11 Explorer. Nice LOOKING ride, but I'm not happy with the changes... No more frame...

    What wire is this....

 I would probably agree with the 1st response. That said, it's kinda hard to know, considering the photo is merely thumbnail size, and more importantly, we don't know for sure what the vehicle is, although most would think it's a Fox body, right about where the brake booster is...

Anyone have any idea if Ford has plans to make the auto trans "shiftable"?

I only WISH my woman couldn't drive a manual! That way, she'd be outta the picture in this... oh wait... That's right, she does run things... Heheheh We choose auto anymore, though my "race car" has a reverse manual VB. When I test drove the 2011GT manual and auto, I was sold on the auto...

At least it wasn't my 68.........

Looked like a huge spot at the left front needed paint(due to peeled clear coat) in the before pics... Maybe the angle of those pics caused the view to look that way. Sorry you didn't like my post, but I find it easier and better overall to use humor rather than alcohol or anger...

At least it wasn't my 68.........

 Before... it needed paint. Now it needs BONDO TOO! J/K... Hope you're not still really upset(sounds like you aren't), but things happen and it seems, this time, what had happened is... You weren't paying enough attention. It looks like you ran it under another vehicle. Yer not...

Livernois Motorsports gets 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ in the new 5.0!

I'm still partial to the FOX body, but I do like the new one. I had a 95 GT 'vert for awhile too, and really liked it, but it just felt so slow... Well, it WAS slow!

    Answer this quiz

I use mostly water and a touch of water wetter, run a 195 T-stat, dual electric fans, and stay at about 190* and up to 205ish. Florida is hot. 408cubes. I still run a brass 3-core radiator as well.

    Detailed article on Coyote engine

Seems like a very interesting article, which may be read over the course of days... Pages and pages... The new Getrag manual is not really all that new insofar as design characteristics. We'll see how it handles power, but from the little I've read, I actually expect it to be every bit as...

Really Really need help with car not starting

Been away awhile... Congratulations! Now figure out what to do with the timing to be sure you're running it where it should be and get those old parts back out in favor of new(no more points) and you're bound to really like the end result.

AFR head I cant believe this! WTF?

Just for fun... Oil won't find a hole/leak quicker than air or water, as each of those travel more freely as a rule of physics. That said, oil helps us SEE a leak more easily because unlike air or water, it isn't colorless in general and even when clear, dirt and debris stick to it, pointing out...

Livernois Motorsports gets 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ in the new 5.0!

I don't know about what they're doing today, but through an AOD, I got 502rwhp and had about 630 at the flywheel. Obviously I had a much larger loss through drive train. There's already been a new 5.0 at 435rwhp from what I've read. I just don't see another 65 being that big a deal...

Speedo cable "clip" is there a trick here?

I have no idea where you can find only the clip(or it's real name). The speed sensor itself comes with the clip (as mentioned) and sells for about $35.00 through places like Late Model Restoration. There's is evidently an actual OEM part, btw.

Livernois Motorsports gets 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ in the new 5.0!

Robert Does the LS engine bolt in with any standard aftermarket K-member? Two thoughts on that, unless it does. 1, you ain't simply swapping back to Ford power without adding more money. 2, many people buy a rolling chassis which already has an aftermarket version in it. You'll also still...

Really Really need help with car not starting

At this point, if it still won't start, you may simply have 8 fouled plugs(and it's likely considering the fuel soaking they got) or you may actually have a faulty distributor. Personally, I'm thinking the plugs should either be thoroughly cleaned or outright replaced and your timing is still...

Livernois Motorsports gets 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ in the new 5.0!

Which is your better choice? 351W, 4.6 4V, LS ...all in a Mustang... That's about it. :nice:

Livernois Motorsports gets 415 RWHP / 399 RWTQ in the new 5.0!

Honestly, I don't feel the LS series is the best choice for ANY FOX body or 94/95 Mustang. I've seen some, but realistically, they're not showing us anything people didn't do with a FOX years ago using Ford power and the swap cost much more because so many additional changes are needed. The...

AFR head I cant believe this! WTF?

It's good you found out before removing the head... you DID, didn't you??? I'm not sure how you missed it when you did the start up test on the roadside, unless it was dark(just gave you an excuse). Hey, at least you didn't have to pay a major repair fee or go through the embarrassment of...
