I had that same code on my Navigator (5.4) awhile back and it turned out to be a vacuum leak. Many others that I have seen that have thrown that code have also been fixed by finding a vacuum leak. They can be tricky to find, but my hunch is that's what your problem is.:)

Seems kind of spendy for a front end alignment. I jst had my 94 aligned and it was $45.95 and they gave me a printout of the specs. I think that's pretty common for most quality shops.
