    351W to 408 Stroker owners...step inside

    I really don't think there is a best, or to say a clear cut winner between the two. The amount of scat and eagle out there is enormous. I would put more research and consideration on who builds it. Obviously both can me made to last a long time.

    Sure did. A. The mounts simply didn't fit a Dart block. B. The mounts were too high. C. I didn't like the placement between the shock towers. I modified the mounts so much, you might as well make your own. I was very disappointed with the AJE stuff. You figure a drag racing company...

    Here are some header pics. Driver side is 99%...some clean up work on the links I added and still need to weld on the reducer flange. Began work on the passenger header.

    Rebuild or not....

    I replaced my 351c. Don't need it anymore and plan on selling it. It ran fine, no issues. But it's been sitting in the garage for a year not covered. I would like to do a simple rebuild on it, but is it worth it? I know they don't sell for much so investing in the rebuild doesn't look like much...

    Bought enough stainless to do a couple tubes for the headers, not as hard as I thought, but takes time none the less.

    I don't have any part numbers for the seals, they were shipped with the rack. No part number was listed with it. The only thing I could suggest is call Ford or AGR. I bought my rack through them, they were helpful. Welcome to AGR Perfomance, Inc.

    28" x 16.5" I don't have any good pictures of what I did. I was real simple, just cutout the support that held the radiator.

    351W Stroker; 393 vs 408

    I was planning on a dart 427, then to find out there was no difference in price for me to go to a 438 (my specific scenario)....so 438 I went. I say go 408.

    Yeah, I cut out the stock radiator support/mounting to make room. It cleans up the bay a lot!!!

    I ordered flanges from MME. Custom setup for CHI 225 heads for 1 7/8 tubes. Should be here any day. Just gotta order tubes now.

    At this point everything fits with the hydraboost setup. I see a potential issue with one of the high pressure lines and hood hinge. It's gonna be close. I'll take some pictures once I get all the fittings ...that's one of the last things on my list though.

    I had to drill new mounting holes on my firewall and had to shorten the rod of the hydraboost. Simple stuff but it all lined up perfect. Pedal distance from the floor is exactly where I want it. Don't get too jealous....everything will be new except for the paint. It's an 8 year old 2000$...

    New Hood Hinges Stiff As Crap---HELP!!!

    I had the same exact problem. I could not expand them by hand to put them in the right position to put the hood on. I put them in a vice and forced them open using different methods of leverage. Once the hood was on, I put some oil on the hinges and opened and shut the hood about 100...
