    Correct, solenoids are a problem small lines are not. It does'nt require as much smoke as you'd expect. The intake leaks can be found or you can use starting fluid I just prefer the smoke. The are actually a few videos on you tube showing people using smoke.

    The firewall tree is attached to the intake so the smoke goes through the whole intake. It does work better if you block the throttle body with duct tape.

    A vacuum leak is easy to find put a hose onto the capped port on the firewall tree light a cigar and start blowing smoke in. Eventually you'll see smoke come out the air filter hopefully somewhere else before that, if there is a vacuum leak.

    If the manufacturer says use ATF use ATF. (Chris Nieghbors -T5 rebuild: The Saga--- Whatever you do, do not use gear oil (e.g. 80W90) in a T5! The lubrication passages are so small on some components that gear oil will not flow readily and lubricate properly. You stand a chance of spalling...

    I had the same issue last week on my car it ran nice no problems just would shut off. I checked my base idle and brought it up to 800 no more issues.

    I know how to fix them. But i onced owned a 79 pace car in highschool and i loved the Recaros. I decided i'd rather install those vs. fixing my stock seat.

    I bought my first Mustang in 1987. It was a nice silver 82 put headers and dual exhaust on it and totaled it. Found a 79 pace car with a blown engine used the 82's engine drove it for 2 years and sold it in minot, ND. I'm on my 4th one now and 42 yrs old. I will never get rid of this one. still...
