Also understand that they do not take the average of the final 45 feet of the 1/4 mile and they do not account for wheelspin on launch. Other than that they are fairly accurate.

Well I put down 276.9 and 301.2 bone stock down to the paper filter at 1100 miles with a 12-12.5 avg A/F ratio. I really like the gains the new engine is putting out but I am really concerned over the A/F ratio everyone is reporting. Ford made it rich for a reason. I understand all OEM's...

Ummm I am not ATX? I was just commenting on how the close ratio 1-3 shift on the new auto have closed the gap on the abilities of a 5 speed. No insecurities here. I was also trying to point out that there are more variables and driver consistancy (don't want to use the word skill) required...

Those are sage words. There are so many timing issues in a 1/4 mile run with a manual that are not present with an auto. And looking at how good 1-3 shifts on this auto are it will take a very consistant shifting person in a 5 speed to match this auto I feel.

Nah the shaker is for looks, it does make a dark spot on the filter so something is comming in but since the airbox has 2 holes, no ram air effect. The most likely reason for the higher trap speed is the area under the curve where the 4 valve is more powerfull after the 3 valve starts falling...

Why not? you have 31 spline axles in there already... You won't break anything on the stock tires.

If you want the effect of cutouts you don't place them after the mufflers, you put them at the point of least restriction foward of the cats. Plus where are the openers? Internal to the mufflers? It almost looks like Saleen connected the two mufflers with a single run of pipe and just tapped...

Oops sorry. Looks like the bolt pattern is the same, just the offset is different. 45 mm for the 05 vice 24mm for 99-04.

Well if it uses the same airbox, K&N is going to have to pull a part from their 'Heavy Equipment' division (Damn that thing is big). I think to add any benefit the whole airbox and inlet tube (which includes the installed hydrocarbon filter) will have to go. As far as after market exhaust...
