    Lightning Fuel Pump

My fuel pump is getting weak in my 95 GT and needs to be replaced. A friend of mine has a brand new 190lph pump for a 93-95 Lightning that I was hoping to use…it’s free. Has anyone ever installed this pump in a mustang? Thanks

    IAT Sensor

Try to find a threaded plug. Something like this http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/EPP/EPPA/593201.html You can find them at Lowes or the Depot. Does that help? See attached file for thread size finder. Just make sure you print the actual size.

    IAT Sensor

I posted a while back asking about the tread size of the IAT sensor. Today I finally got around to looking for a tap. Tap size is 3/8-18. This is good info if your building your own intake or just relocating your sensor.

    PCV Valve

Mine is leaking oil out onto the valve covers. I would get an aftermarket style but no one makes the screw in type (that I can find). I know many people change them just for preventive maintenance, which is okay too.

    PCV Valve

I've been back and forth with a parts dealer and have narrowed mine down. The part number off my PCV is Fords Catelog # for the 03 Cobra. Very Strange Stuff. Anyway, if I get any more info on it, I'll let you know.

    PCV Valve

NY The valve twists out. It should only take about 1 turn. I have had trouble finding the correct replacement part though. Mine has an elbow and all the replacement Ford PCV's do not. See my pics (if it works). The replacement I was given has no elbow. If I find out anything about it...

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

As soon as I get my tune finished I'll see about the dyno. I'll also try and get a vid posted if it doesn't rain today. I don't want to post anything if my car gets dirty...people like to poke fun about that. :D

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

It's pretty easy to bleed them down. I used a vise (very slowly). You don't want to break the little valve inside. I've read posts talking about how you can break them if you torque down too hard. Just make sure you bleed them down several times to get all of the oil out. Compressed air may...

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

Finished putting everything back together...again. I did the leakdown test and every cylinder was less than 5% leak down. So thats not the problem. Started her up and everything was fine...once again. When I shut it off, it made the same sound :bang: . I tried opening the throttle some...

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

If it still happens after I get everything back together, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the help.

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

Just thought I would give an update. I tore everything back down last night. Checked the timing and it was right on. Did a leak down test and every cylinder was less than 5% leak down. So, I guess it was a lash adjuster. I bled these down several times to make sure they were all the...

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

I guess I will try the leak down test. It just seems like it would be way down on power if an intake valve was being held open. I'll try and get a vid or sound clip posted today after work. Maybe if I wish it away... Keep any more ideas coming. Thanks.

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

It is very hard to explain. I need to record it and put a post up. If it was a bent valve or something like that, I think that my car would run pretty bad. :bang: But It runs great! Maybe someone knows.

    VT Stage 1 Installed!

Finished my cams! Started up and sounded great. There was valvetrain noise for less than a second before the oil got moving. Took it out and noticed a big improvement in the higher RPM's. Drives almost like normal otherwise. I did raise my idle to 980 with my predator to help with the fast...

Intalling my VT Cams with AFM tool

Brian with AFM has already emailed me back this morning to let me know I can get a new tool or a refund (I sent an email to him late last night). He also said that he has never heard of one failing before. They have great customer service, but I don't think good enough to pay for extra labor...

Intalling my VT Cams with AFM tool

Well, long story short.... The weld that holds the head of the AFM tool let go and wedged it in the chain tonight. Looks like I'll be taking the long road on this cam install. They are VT stage I. Hopefully, I'll get them in soon.
