will my bigger tires screw up my speedo?

If his original tires are bald as hell, it could be a little shorter than the new ones... but those two tire sizes have the same sidewall height. Don't worry about it.

My track times, need advice (8.59 @82)

Those 1/8th miles make it out to be a 13.4 car in the 1/4. That's not too bad. The launches sound like they are fine, but I know there is more in it. WIth 15'' nittos, a few locals here in STL can go 1.7s on the 60'. Just keep practicing with the launch and you'll be running great in no time.

What modification to launch my automatic?

Yup, I cut 1.8x 60' on DRs with a 3500 stall and 4.10s... could be better with more power. I usually launch at 1100rpms. Hooks up pretty good.

    Anying backfire when stopping?

Are you downshifting to slow down? My car does this as well, but it's an auto... I never thought it to be a big deal, just use the brakes. :)

Stock struts, no c/c plates. Thanks. :D For the record, my stock struts are blown to hell after 53k miles. :rlaugh:

    Who has "C" Springs in a 99+GT???

http://images.racergt.com/308.jpg Here is one of my favorite pics of my drop with C springs, no isolators. 2 fingers in front and about 4 fingers in back. I love it. Go to http://www.racergt.com/ for more pics.

    Mods to an auto 02

I got the 3500 stall from Precision Industries. Cost me 714 shipped, the same as Dark Knights, through Houston Performance. I will be restalling to 4000 over summer, but my car is going to be more drag oriented. I'd go anywhere from 3000-3500. It's perfect for street driving and a weekend...

    Mods to an auto 02

You have no idea... lol. I dropped .4 in the 1/4 from the converter alone. That was a consistent .4 as well. I'm looking to drop a few more tenths with a better launch next time out. And to whoever said 4.10s are too much on a daily driven auto, you're absolutely incorrect. I still...

    Mach 1 Question

I'll play Devils Advocate here. Keep the T/A. A Trans Am WS6 has always been a dream car of mine. To me, you can't beat the styling and power for the buck with the T/A. I wouldn't trade unless you're getting an even exchance, but that's just me.

    4.10's and NOSzle

Get some sticky tires man. It'll drop your times a lot. Also, get a bottle heater to get that nitrous workin.

    Mach auto or stick?

LMAO, are you serious? Manuals lose 12-15% of power through the drivetrain, while automatics lose 15-18%. A manual is definitely fun to drive and will give a slight power advantage, but an automatic is no dog. Add gears and converter and some sticky tires and you'll be just fine in an...

    New Tire Questions

The difference in diameter between the two tire sizes is .08. Not very much at all. I know several people with 275s out back and 245s up front, me being one of them. I've never had a problem. You may have to have a performance shop mount the tire though. Most places won't accept liability...
