Quincy/Plymouth here. Just picked up an 88 notch recently and parted with my 85 (which has bought locally, so you may see it around). Big plans, no money for the time being. Finally i should be able to garage this one.

I need decent pistons for a stock block/crank/rod 306 rebuild.....

I've decided on a 306 rebuild for my 85 roller motor with 110K. I'm gonna re-use my stock rods/crank/block, and it will be topped off with AFR 165's, 650 Speed Demon, Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap, and some sort of cam(doin research). Brands i have had my eyes on are TRW, Probe, DSS, and SpeedPro...

Could you please list your aftermarket control arms and if you are satisfied

Good info, keep this going guys, i always see people asking about control arms, this will be a good thread for them. There has to be a few companies that just are the best "bang for buck" when it comes to upper and lowers.

Could you please list your aftermarket control arms and if you are satisfied

Subject says it all. Everyone agrees they are a good mod, but noone ever mentions which brands are best. For a street/strip car. Thank you

    Subframe Connectors

Your absolutley right, except they dont look to be 199, i saw them listed as 119 for standard and 139 for zinc plated. I still think i might go with the Maximum ones, i know people who run them and are satisfied.

    Header question--which brand?

I've run two sets of FMS headers and been pleased with both. Like mentioned above, if you dont get coated ones, they will look like crap after a while, trust me. BBK look real similar to the FRPP. They both have one piece flanges, unlike MAC. Check out this months 5.0 mag, they do a dyno...

People with a Steeda Tri - Ax come in.

Does anybody elses Tri-Ax rattle at high RPM's?? I think maybe mine is hitting the shift stops. Its annoying, i'll have to rip apart the console next weekend.

    Subframe Connectors

Steeda has come out with a pair of full length SFC's, look just like the Maximum subs except the steeda ones also come with torque box weld plates. Might be worth looking into?? I think they are like $120-150 range, saw them in the latest 5.0 rag

    best drag radials???

If its just for the street, drag radials are kinda expensive. Those aformentioned Nittos will run you well over $100 a piece. For the street i just use BFG Radial TA's. They come in tons of sizes, are cheap, and seem pretty decent for everyday driving. Now for the track i plan on getting a...

baddest 306 ...streetable combo you have ever seen

Hey Purestreet, whats your combo? Just wondering, i love the pure street cars, especially the carbed ones. Was hoping with a set of AFR 165's and some 4.10's and good tires, to see mid to low 12's with the 85 in my sig, with room for improvement.
