    I may be in the minority, but try as I might, I cannot bring myself to like what they've done to the exterior. As far as I'm concerned, the 05-09 body was a perfect embodiment of Mustang. Something just seems 'off' about the new look.

    The little bastards decided to make a restaurant out of my car. Didn't notice they were doing it until the smell started. Pulled everything from the trunk and found uneaten food and droppings. I've cleaned my way forward and even managed to shake a bunch of stuff out from under the hood liner...

    I've already vacuumed and cleaned every interior surface, removed the back seat to vacuum and bleach under it, and bleached all under the trunk liner. I've even cleaned the engine bay out. Now, it primarily comes back if the air gets put on recirculate or I roll down the window while at a drive...

    It probably is something along those lines. If they took all that out to fix the TSB, then it is likely that they didn't re-install it correctly. It could also be as simple as them not putting enough/proper gear oil in there.

    Nope. Rear-ends are something of a "mystery-box" to me. *pauses for snickering* I would just take to them and tell them to fix it. I don't care how, just do it. Keep making them do it until it gets done right, just so I could screw it all up a couple years later when I had gears put in.:)

    Did they say what was causing the "moan?" It feels like an overly tight differential to me, like a pseudo-spool. I've been in cars with gear whine before. The moan is pleasant by comparison.:notnice: Neither is really acceptable on a new car like these, IMO.

    I've read that too, but these autos seem to be outliving the engines when it comes to blown cars. That seems to indicate to me that they're strong enough.:nice:

    As the car is now, they hook great, based on a comparison to the OEM tires. With more power, deeper gearing (like 4.10), etc might change that a bit. However, that is when suspension mods come in.

    I've been averaging between 18-19 mpg, last I checked. The only changes I've made recently, as in since I last filled up, are the tires and the GTA mufflers. I don't expect the figures to change any.

    tire size..does sidewall matter?

    To me, the slight difference in height on the GT500's is quite noticeable. They use a 285/40-18 on the rear, which is slightly taller than the 275/40 but slightly shorter than the 255/45's on the front. I guess it depends on how sensitive your eyes are to that type of thing.

    Haven't really had a chance to test them out with a good hard launch yet. But, it was raining when I left the shop that installed them and I had to quickly bolt across the road to beat traffic. They only spun a little bit in the rain, so I'm guessing they'd do quite well in the dry. Thanks.:nice:
