Long time, no see. So who's still around?

Hey guys! I'm doing okay. I had to close PSP down in 2008, and have been working for Goodyear since then. I had to sell my 427 Cobra in 2009 to help pay off bills from the business closing. I picked up a 2007 GT500 last year, and I still have the 78 Mach1. I am planning on getting back to work...

I need a set of 77-78 2.8 Mustang II heads in decent shape. Can be of need of rebuild, but must have no cracks. E-mail me at [email protected]

    You gotta see this

Guy says he started the project in 78 (used a 2 year old car???). Disco era. Funky customs, big flares, futuristic looking exotics. Car would have been a hit in the early 80s. And really, it's not as bad looking as some of the weird kits that have been produced over the years. The mid engine...

    I needa rough HP estimate.

Gonna be a long boat ride, I'm in FL now :).

    I needa rough HP estimate.

No such thing as a "late 70s roller block", the only 351 roller block was used from 94-96. Your compression should give you a nice kick. Have you verified that compression ratio used with the 58cc heads, or are you just going off piston specs? Typlically, 86 heads are the one year...

    solid motor mounts..........?

If you've been lucky all this time, then that's good for you. I've replaced enough cracked trans cases over the years to know it happens. Motor plate, or motor mount, it doesn't matter. When under power, the drivetrain wants to twist. Solid mounts stop the motor from twisting, but the rubber...

    solid motor mounts..........?

Why do you want solid mounts? Are you building a drag car? If you plan to drive your car on the street, you don't want solid mounts. The noise and vibration will drive you crazy, and you'll be forever tightening stuff back up. Even the guys with urethane mounts complain about all that, and...

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

Click your browser back button once and look up. We have a rim/tire fitment sticky for this very subject :).

New pics and a video of the Pro-II

Had a customer at my shop today for some dyno tuning, and he took some pics of my brother's II. He also took a short video of me pulling it back in the shop to avoid some rain that was on the way! Anyway, enjoy! <embed width="430" height="389"...

    Drivetrain Ordering New Axles

Yeah, I'm not the first to post having them make them either. I wonder if they just don't keep track of what they do.

    Drivetrain Ordering New Axles

They should have MII spec on hand; I ordered the Thundersnake axles from them (stock spec, with 5 lug).

Hats off to the Founding Old Fogies

I haven't been involved on the II forums/lists as long as some of you guys have, but I've been scouring the net for all things "II" since about the mid 90s (not much on there back then). I can remember that Todd Mitchell and Brian Seather were two of my first "II" internet influences...

Possible new Bellhousing for V8 MII?

T-45 is a piece of junk, why would you want to use it? But to use that bell with a T-5 or a Tremec would be sweet if it allows more header room.

    Cobra II ID?

Sounds like somebody "made" their own Cobra. It's really not a big deal, it's just an asthetics package. There isn't even a different body code for a Cobra like there is for a Mach 1. As I said before, if you can get us some nice detailed pics of the outside of the car, and the interior, we...

    Cobra II ID?

In the 75-76 body service manual, there is no HB listed under Mustang. It's listed under other cars, usually as "medium blue".

    Cobra II ID?

Where exactly did you get that info? None of my Ford paperwork, nor the mircofiche, nor the paper books I have show that.
