    Rate your boss...

My immediate supervisor is a sales manager. She has no real authority, and is basically a walking phone book. She has never sold anything for this company, and yet, she somehow made it to sales management. My department director is a complete narcissist (sp?) and has a trail of failed...

    beat but not by much!!

I know it's hard to resist the urge, and I hate to preach (but I will anyhow) but street racing is a bad idea. No matter how well you know your car, or how good of a driver you like to think you are, things can change in an instant, and while you may well be the best damn street racer there is...

    New 'celebrity' signature poll

Could be an option, but there's not enough cow bell...I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell. For those of you who think I'm off my rocker w/the cowbell reference, click HERE and click on the Blue Oyster Cult link...(dial up beware)...seems to be a touchy link...

    MUSTANG Season....!

Man, tryin' to remember that one, but I'm drawin' a blank on the details - my memory ain't so good. I do remember the one in the barber shop tho, where bugs grows a boquet of sorts on Elmer's head... Ahem, anyhow, back to the topic of the thread, mustang season, yes, yes. Umm, I got...

    MUSTANG Season....!

My buddy over at Ford calls me at least once a week tellin' me there's a car show down in one of the lots around World HQ, and tellin' me about this mint car and that mint car and this one that's for sale. His favorite thing to do, is to go stand by the driveway, and when they take off and get...

    Jokes and pranks?

There was a guy I used to work with that was 'that guy' in the office....you know the type, the know it all who really knows nothing, always invites himself along, telling tall tales and bs'ing his way along, brown nosing the boss above and beyond the norm, showing up late, leaving early...

    So who's married?

Ahhh, the joys of younger women...and the headaches...take the good with the bad, as in all cases :)

Two 67 Fastbacks for under 20K?? Worth Reading!!

I dont' know how they do it, but the name listing one of the items had over 250 'comments'...Hell, for a 67fb @ $5800 Buy It Now, I'd put the dang thing on a credit card until I could arrange financing...however, I've become overly suspicious and cynical in regards to ebay vehicles.

What do I do with a 75 Granada?

Andy Dufresne (doo-fray-n) - lead character in Shawshank Redemption...he digs through the wall of Shawshank prison, and carrys the scraps out into the prison yard in his pockets - it's a great story where he get's the ultimate revenge. Highly recommended :nice:

    A buyer's learning experience...

I guess in so much as it being a charge based on an inaccurate description, it's pretty invalid. Thanks for all the heads up. So, is this what I should expect for a sub$2k car?

Yeah, I used my checking acct...foolish, foolish choice. Definitely will never use that again. I could have cut this off a lot earlier.

    A buyer's learning experience...

It's just hard, 'cause I'm sure you guys know the process - you get all geeked up 'cause you finally have most of the resources in place to build your dream car, so you go chasin' down all these opportunities, and well, they never quite seem to be what you expect, ya' know?

    A buyer's learning experience...

I'm not sure if I posted the update here, but about two hours after I went through EBay's customer service thing, he sent me an email saying he would 'be the better man' and refund my deposit. Well, I guess that somehow makes him better than me - whatever, I just want my money back, and as...

    A buyer's learning experience...

I've contacted ebay seeking some direction, but I've rec'd no response. This guy is a total joke, and has no values to speak of. He is clearly not a man of his word. The issue has until the end of business today to be resolved, or I'll turn to the courts. It's unfortunate that this what...

    A buyer's learning experience...

Nice, now the seller doesn't want to return my paypal deposit claiming that I wasted his time by going to look at the vehicle before buying it. He even went so far as to say in email that the deposit was refundable, and that the email messages were binding. Now, he's backing out of it...

    So who's married?

That's kind of funny - a buddy of mind met his wife in pretty similar circumstances. He was at his desk at the office playing up some minor injury he had over the phone to all the chics he knew, one at a time (kinda cheesy, yeah, but it's a good story, none-the-less). His wife to be just...

    I need a hug!!

Did you get the names and phone numbers of the witnesses? That will help take care of any legal issues. You should have no problem getting a police report. It's clear who ran into who, so you will not be faulted for the accident (at least, that's how it works in MI). You'll need a police...

    A buyer's learning experience...

Hey all, I'm lookin' for a little feedback. I drove almost three hours over the weekend to go see a car, and ended up turning it down, because I didn't know if I would have the resources to fix it, because I thought the trouble spots were going to be too much (money and or skill). I'm hoping...
