    laughs....hey thats great.....you can also push start....us C4 guys are really stuck.....can carry a spare starter in the tire well but then removing that motor mount and header & lifting the engine along a busy highways a real bitch. Glad you figured out your problem. Stewart

    jshcobra, I believe you have the correct diagnosis with the aftermarket ring tooth pitch wrong on the flexplates....I am almost certain....I am just having a real difficult time locating a Ford original flexplate......that will be my next major attempt. Thanks for your support guys. Stewart
