    convertible retracting problems

    I found the problem the hardway. It was out of alignment because the frame rails were damaged, I had planned to see ford about fixing it anyway, but two of the frame rails actually snapped. Explains why it also seemed loose. Good thing for warranty!

    I have an 05 gt vert. I am not sure about how many layers but I live in Canada and we have some pretty cold days but the stang is still warm inside so I woiuld imagine it is well insulated. As for noise, it is not bad at all!! Go with the vert, I love it!

    You might also want to invest in some antisieze to avoid issues removing your plugs later on. When I replaced my plugs I unhooked my air intake to give me some more room to work. Good luck!:canada:
