    Unisteer Rack & Pinion

Shorties can certainly have their issues, but why not just mock them up? I presume the engine is out or you would have already done that, but why not just test fit the longblock in there and see if the shorties will work? I assume the Hookers are long tubes? You may run into issues with those...

JMC hydraulic clutch and Power brakes.?

Thanks J-code, that really confirms that this will work. Sounds like the only difference in using Jay's setup is that the bolts will be horizontal. :nice:

JMC hydraulic clutch and Power brakes.?

Great pics Markus. I've got the clamp-style Midland booster: I understand that this is the same diameter (7") as the Fox booster like you have. It looks tight, but do-able. Thanks alot for your input. I've not seen pics like you provided and something like that is invaluable.

Ok, you answered that question to, LOL Thanks!

JMC hydraulic clutch and Power brakes.?

ok this pic almost answers my question above: it addresses the alignment of the MC with it's actuating rod. now I guess the rest is just hoping it's enough of an angle to clear the booster.

JMC hydraulic clutch and Power brakes.?

Jay, I'm doing a T5 conversion in my 67 with power brakes. Is this the shim you were referring to? I've got a Midland clamp-type booster on mine. So what I'm gathering is that this will angle the master cylinder in such a way that it clears the booster, presuming that I use this style with...

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

What EEC are you using? Is this a street legal car or a track car?

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

i'd agree with the you on the cubes. i ended up getting a great deal on my 427 shortblock and, since it was going in a 67 GT500 clone......well, i just couldn't pass on the historically significant displacement :D

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

i realize i may have different intentions than the original poster, but my interest would be in a highly modified pushrod motor. if it's the intent to compare the cost of modifying pushrod motors versus sohc motors, they're both expensive. you can spend the same amount of money on stroking a...

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

OK, i'll submit that there are other advantages that the bow-tie wearer has, and they may make the difference. But I'd rather bring a bazooka to a gunfight than a knife..... I have both a blown 4.6 and a carbed 427 and, like the saying goes, there is no replacement for displacement :nice...

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

in my case, it would be for the cubes..... if you can make a 5.0 work, then you can make a 351 work. and if you can stuff in a 351, you might as well stroke it to 427 ci. now we're talking Z06 killer. that's the major shortcoming of a 4.6 motor...no practical way to up the displacement...

    Swap 95 5.0 GT motor to 02 4.6 GT

i haven't done it, but done some research on it. as svttech said, there's so much inner-workings between all the systems that i'd try and see what you could do to utilize the vehicles original computer and wiring harnesses. the key would be to fool the 02 EEC into thinking that the 351 motor...

    What can I use from a 96 mustang in a 67 rebuild?

I believe the tranny is a 4R70W, which can be used but since it's EEC controlled, you may not want to go to the trouble. The dash is a modular unit that can be unbolted. I've toyed with swapping in the late-model dash, but there are soooo many issues that I may never do it.

    Roush S351 engine build specs?

Hey Mr. Animal, were you ever able to check out the EEC/wiring question? A buddy of mine just started on his V6 to Windsor project and, as to be expected, he got hung up on the wiring issue.

    Collapsable Steering Column Options

I've been scoping out the system in my 97 stang as a possibility. It has the swaged sections like Jester is talking about for collapse protection, and has somewhat of a bearing at the firewall to support it. Seems to me like that could be pretty easily tied to a cut-down "spear", with either a...
