will the starter from my AOD tranny work with my flywheel for my TKO tranny?

i just insalled the bellhousing and clutch fork and throwout bearing. the teeth are not matching up, i counted 27 teeth on the yoke from the driveshaft, but 30 teeth in the driveshaft. And at the other end, the clutch only has about 10 ( i think ) teeth to slide into. PLEASE HELP! I DON'T KNOW...

i am installing a tremec 3550 tranny but i need to get a peice and i don't know what it's called. At the front of the tranny there is the bell housing, but what is the name of the peice that bolts onto the back of the tranny that the driveshaft goes into? :shrug:
