well i think we found the problem...the cam might be out of time itself. we are guessing and hoping that it might be off a tooth or two bc that would not be noticeable unless you took the front end apart and looked. hopefully this will be it..hopefully. i just dont know what else would cause it...

i was reading about the KOEO test. ive done that before, but it says you have to get the car to operating tempateure. we cant even get it to run that long.

well...im hoping for some good numbers but i really am not sure. i was pushed for time so i couldnt work the heads. i was hoping for about 250-260rwhp..torque.... i have no idea.

my mods are as follows: bored .030 explorer upper and lower e cam gt40p heads gt40 shorty headers i just wanted to know what hp numbers other ppl were getting out of their cars with this or other related combos.

what headers can i use with the gt40p heads?? ive been told that long tubes help but i dont have the cash or time to spend on long tubes and a shorty hpipe. so what brand of shorties can i buy that wont rub on the spark plugs or wires?? :shrug:

well i finally have started getting parts together for my engine. i bought a set of freshly machined gt40 heads for 300. Im buying a came this week and for cosmetics i just bought a set of 93 cobra wheels for...$100 mint condition. :nice:

my car runs 9.4 in an 1/8 with 2.73 gears and its bone stock. what could i expect with 3:73 gears and a bcam. i know the cam isnt going to help much by itself i was just wondering

I have a 86 block and am wanting to use my heads for right now. will the valves hit the pistons? im planning on putting a bcam in it.

but there is a solution.....a tranny out of a 99 v-6. it will bolt right up. one pf my friends has one in his 5.0 and it works just fine. they are tremecs, he bought it at a junkyard here that sells nothing but mustang parts for 450. and i know it is a tremec bc i saw it on the casing myself

well the pistons that are in it are flat top..the engine is out of a town car. I am planning on using my heads off of my car right now. and the engine needs to be rebuilt anyway.

I've looked in summit and just about every company I can think of. I want a rebuild kit but i want one with standard bore pistons. I'm just trying to get my car on the road considering that its the only car i have and i want to go ahead and rebuild the motor. I will later build a stroker for it...

well it looks like the next couple of months will be tied up with my engine. now im not planning on boring it out or anyhing, just some minor mods. cam, intake, maybe port and polish the heads. i found a bcam for 75...should i go with the 1.7 rr? i was also thinking about going with a trick flow...

one of my friends gave me a cam out of a 95 cobra and said that he wasnt sure of the duration or lift. can someone help me out..i found a b-cam for $75 and im probably going to go with that but i am still curious.

well im going with a aftermarket roller cam anyway when i put it in so i should be good. and im using the injectors and evrything off my car also.i was thinking about going with a b cam. i still have a 2:73 gear.. wont that hurt my bottom end but open up my top end more?

is this possible? i was told of an engine that i was thinking of buying and the guy said that it was a roller motor but and it was a ho but it had a non ho cam and it had a non ho firing order. doesnt the crank determine the firing order?? dont you time the cam with the crank? something doesnt...
