Is there anyone that makes a larger crank pulley for the SOHC 4.6L?

Yep, saw what you were saying in the original post. I was recommending using an oversized crank pulley with the oversized alt & w/p pulleys from an underdrive kit. This would help to keep you from overdriving the alternator and water pump. Jay

Is there anyone that makes a larger crank pulley for the SOHC 4.6L?

I'm not sure on the crank pulley, but you could try to pick up a used set of underdrive pulleys cheap and just use the waterpump and alternator pulley to slow them back down. Personally, I'm using the SFI approved dampner from Jegs with the underdrive alt & w/p pulley's with no problem - just...

MIL's And And Air/Fuel Ration Gauge

What do you mean "plugged into the rear O2 sensors"? If you are getting your gauge reading from the wires coming off the sensors (before the connectors) then it probably isn't accurate - those wires are shielded. The A/F gauge is pretty inaccurate to begin with - narrowband. You should tap the...

    Borla vs. other exhaust

I have the Borla catback (not the stinger) and I'm very happy with it. Quieter than my Flowmasters at idle, loud at WOT and very little drone. I also like the cut and fit of the phantom tips. I'd find another source or wait, just my .02. Jay

    Engine RIP. Need a shortblock.

You might PM Bryan at TSS racing for a quote on a shortblock. He does great work and his customer service is second to none. The pricing is very reasonable. I believe his SN is TSSRacing... Jay

    need for aftermarket fuel injectors?

For the majority of bolt-ons, stock 19# plugs are fine. I was up to 270 RWHP w/ my 19's and the car did not lean out on the dyno during three WOT pulls. That being said, with a good tune you can swap injectors anytime you feel like you're pushing your luck. I swapped to 30's anticipating cams...

Fastest 2VNA goes faster!!!! Video inside

Ken, That's amazing! What was the temp at the track? How much do you think she still has naturally aspirated? What's the new goal now that you've hit 10's?? Jay

    6 or 8 bolt

'99 & '00 came with the Windsor motor which had an 8 bolt crank. When Ford moved production back to the Romeo plant they went back to the 6 bolt crank. Jay

    Fuel Pressure??

Off topic, but which is also the reason why it is bad idea to use a pump not designed for variable voltage (walbro, etc.) in a returnless car. Stock pump, focus pump, aviator pump (which is what I use) is the way to go, given that the computer can modulate the voltage to the pump and generate...

    Fuel Pressure??

30 PSI is normal at idle. Check it under load - does it climb and remain stable under throttle? If you go WOT and it climbs and drops or fluctuates quite a bit then you may have a fuel problem. Jay

    rev limiter

I just pulled up the stock file for my 2000 GT in my SCT software and the regular rev limiter is 6050. Keeping in mind that our tachs are not exactly the most precise devices... Jay

New Comp Cam's in my 2002 GT what Gears do i need?

If you're staying N/A I'd recommend at least 4.10's. I've got 4.10's, ported heads VT cams and just about every bolt on short of a blower and I wish I'd gone 4.30's, but I don't drive mine every day, either. Jay

How much horsepower did you get with 2 flowmaster 40's?

You won't really pick up anything with weld-in Flows. 1. The stock H pipe is the biggest restriction 2. The pipe diameter on the catback is the same with weld in mufflers. It will sound faster, though. Jay

    Smoking GT, and a headswap. . .

Man, that's a tough spot you're in... I don't think I would be comfortable trying to re-use the head gaskets, etc. and drive the car 6 hours. So many things that could go wrong and then you're stuck. I'd be worried about leaks and unmetered air through the intake with just RTV. Sorry, man. As...

    Oil Catch Tank

Nope, it's the Campbell-Hausfeld with two Earl's 90* fittings and 3/8" fuel line. A lot less money than the Steeda set-up. Thanks for the compliment. Jay

    Canister or inline?

A canister pump is the pump in the fuel tank (in the canister). An inline pump would be like a BAP (Boost-A-Pump). I believe the 98's still used a fuel pressure regulator, so you should be able to upgrade the fuel pump (in-tank) and feed enough fuel, but it depends on how much power you're...

    Oil Catch Tank

Here is my set-up. It actually works pretty efficiently. I just put a rag under the valve on the bottom of the separator every once in a while and drain it. The PCV runs from the passenger side to the upper plenum. Jay

    AF readings without cats??

I don't believe your a/f readings will change that much as a result of moving the O2's. Otherwise widebands that use a sniffer in the tailpipes would be completely ineffective (with a catted midpipe they will read off - usually lean). However, moving the O2's further down stream will change the...
