How much you wanna spend? You could supercharge it, spray it, aluminum heads, stroker kit, throw a windsor in it. You can go as fast as you want to spend. I see you have headers, if they aren't long tubes that would be a cheaper spot to start. Some underdrive pullies will give you a couple...

Yup gears full exaust and a gt40 setup will feel like a different car.

Seems like the autos are more prone to failure. Make sure they know that :)

Honestly the best thing you can do is hop on good ol craigslist. They are worth what you can or will buy them for. In SC they are much cheaper than the coupes. The good thing about the verts is they aren't rednecked up like a lot of the other foxes.

I dont think you would have any trouble meeting your goals. You can find one already finished for 6000 bucks and get a lot more value for your money. You will never get back what you put into it. The only down fall is you dont get to do the work yourself. Here are a few just to give you an idea...
