    sounds like you're contemplating getting a whole granada for the parts?.. it can be done (probably.. dunno what you're paying for whole granada) much cheaper by going to the local pull-it-yourself junkyard and you wont have to worry about disposing of a car that wont roll around

    I have the 8" out of a 70's? Granada (same car I got spindles and calipers from) with no problems.... a little modifying of the shock plates was necessicary (slotting for bigger U-bolts) but the whole rearend I got for 50$ :banana:

    well if the lower one was spinning faster than the top one it could be useful.... but what engine could take the kind of pressure it would make at high RPM?.... but yeah judging by the fact there is no rollcage and the trunk opens the wrong way (would be a dragracing liability)...I dont think...

    Air in the tank??

    Does it run ok with the cap back off again? usually problems associated with gascaps and engine running poorly is due to gascap not venting properly. This doesnt allow air to come into the tank to replace the gas that is going to the engine and a vacuum forms that the fuel pump has to work...

    OT: I've had my '93 beater explorer (4.0L) to "R" :D ...granted it was down a big hill on the interstate and explorer's speedo with anything over around 80 is probably questionable....I was confused tho... it was pointing to reverse... so was I going backwards that fast? LOL :banana:

    good news then about the bellhousing.... still I would be weary of the tran's strength... sure they used them in the F series, but often transmissions have many different variants, the T5 for example had no less than 10 differnt configurations with different torque ratings for different applications

    yes would have to be 5 on 4.5 specific since the lugs are exposed, 4.5 backspacing is correct, also in the front you cant go wider than 8in w/o rubbing and I hear there are problems associated with 16"x8" rims hitting the upper ball joint... if you go 8" it might be worth considering going to...
