    One piece oil pan gasket

Small block motors with 4 bolt mains are not really a thing on the older 302 blocks but you can make 400+ HP safely on these blocks without having to worry about it too much. The main bolts Ford uses on small blocks are much bigger than the small block Chevy 2 bolt mains. If you get into the...

    One piece oil pan gasket

It has been about 100 years since I bought my gasket and I don't have my paperwork handy so I can't go and look what part number I bought. At the time I bought my oil pan gasket I think there was only 1 part number for the 289/302/5.0 motors. Have you tried calling FelPro tech support? They...

    SN95 Exhaust for 3.8 V6

I had a 99 v6 and did shorty headers as well as a dual exhaust kit on it. Kept the factory cats in. As long as you keep the factory cats in, you will be fine. The motor just isn't big enough to be obnoxious without removing the cats. I think I still have those headers kicking around in...

    Old ford heads on fox

Yep, that spark plug angle will get you like that. Good luck with the swap. What cam are you going to run?

    Old ford heads on fox

The answer to your original question is yes you can do that. The push rod motor 289/302/351/5.0/5.8 heads are interchangeable. The big difference is you need to use a larger head bolt on the 351/5.8 heads so you have to tap the block out to accept the larger bolt but this is actually a good...

    New clutch sudder and vibration.

Did you ever rule out the motor mounts? It IS possible that they can cause that issue if they are indeed bad. It is usually a BS line being sold to a customer when a clutch install is done wrong but the trans/motor mounts being bad CAN cause excessive chatter. Although the pedal feel...

2004 gt premium..a/t..make model of transmission?

A trans cooler for an auto isn't a bad idea but make sure you put a thermostatic valve in for it if this is a street car. You can end up over cooling the fluid on a trans just like you can on a motor.

Front suspension part names (for 2000 GT)

GDawg, your advice is great if he is doing the work himself but remember he is taking it to a mechanic. The labor cost on replacing the front control arm bushings and ball joint combined with the cost of replacement parts would probably cost as much as (or more than) simply buying a quality...

    Dome light problem

For those poor souls that stumbled upon this thread and can't find an answer, I posted some pics in this thread over here which should be helpful: https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/door-open-switch-doesnt-work-on-driver-side.696320/page-2#post-9157886

Door open switch doesn't work on driver side

Ok, how is this for a threadsurrection? I just fixed this today in my Mach 1 and I wanted to both thank Top Fuel Friday for his comment and also post some pics for the next poor sucker that can't figure this out. Here as some pics of the latch assembly I removed from the car that should help...

Can’t let my wife see this

I was totally joking BUT I wash all my dishes by hand anyways already. I used my dish washer exactly once and it was so damn slow I figured I'd be better off just never using the thing.

Progress Thread Problem removing AC line at condenser

Try the clam shell tool I linked if you haven't. They work surprisingly well if they actually fit.

Progress Thread Problem removing AC line at condenser

I had a hell of a time getting 2 of the hoses off when I serviced the AC on my Mach 1. I ended up getting a disconnect set similar to these: View: https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-63800-Spring-Coupler-Disconnect/dp/B00RGNMM4Q They worked WAY better than any other disconnect tool I tried but they...

Fuel Pump Problem on 93 Cobra swap

PWM is Pulse Width Modulation. Instead of feeding a pump 12v constantly you burst it 12v in spurts and you change the timing of how frequently you pulse the pump. The closer together the pulses are, the more the pump flows. If I remember correctly that is how they do a returnless fuel system...

Fuel Pump Problem on 93 Cobra swap

Ok, I'll have to take a look at this later. Might be a day or two before I have time to dig up the wiring schematic. I'd look into that 7v coming out because I think that should be 0v until the car is in start/run and then it should be 12v. I think the Fox EFI used a return style fuel system...

Fuel Pump Problem on 93 Cobra swap

Just to make sure, you are using a factory harness from the 93 Cobra right? Let us know exactly what harness you are using so we can help with a wiring diagram. I don't know a ton about the Fox chassis wiring but I have put a factory EFI setup into a classic before. I think it is a bit odd...
