That's not actually necessary. It's more of just a precautionary measure, most people haven't bothered. I know I didn't.

I've got the 7-piece kit that came with everything. If you've got band clamps on each end of your o/r legs, then you can put the CompCats on. You can get them from Lightning Force Performance

I started out with just the Magnaflow mufflers - deeper sound, but not very loud. Then I added an o/r Bassani x-pipe. It became loud then, for sure. There was a rap in the pipes arounf 3K rpm which I didn't care for. I took off the o/r legs and swapped in the CompCats and now it sounds...

just take out the 3 screws holding the front fascia to the inner fender liner, then pull the liner back to reach the two nuts holding the fascia to the car (on each side) then remove the 4 little (5.5mm) bolts on the underside of the fascia where it attaches to the splash guard then take...

The Saleen (for me) was definitely worth the money, no question! You'd love it rage!

when installing my S/C I had to run a wire through the firewall, there was a grommet with room over on the pass-side, just go under the battery box into the fender lining then through the firewall there

My Saleen S/C is pretty quiet, really. It's got a nice subtle whine, but nothing like my Lightning!

dunno, I've talked to a few Saleen-blown owners and haven't heard of anyone having that trouble...?? if you get the right size belt it shouldn't be a problem (there's marks for where the tensioner should sit in place) :shrug:

it's actually the easiest blower pulley swap I've ever seen, just four allen-head bolts - no puller needed :nice:

wrong - I swapped my pulley before the blower even went on the car the Saleen unit can push up to 20 psi :nice:

I just tuned into this thread, seems like all questions were answered already. You can send the PCM to Saleen, but only do this if you have no other mods. Their tune will be very conservative. Obviously a custom dyno-tune would be better, since all cars are different (at least slightly)...

just be cool, don't go crazy with the boost, stick to 6 psi or less pick the blower for the purpose - centrifugal for high-end power (like alot of track use), or twin-screw for low-end power (fun on the street, stoplight to stoplight)
