    Intermittent misfire problem

Spark plugs / ignition coil testing Looks like the spark plug change did it for me. The car runs very smooth now. By the way, I read the Chilton Repair Manual for 1996-2003 Ford Mustangs. They claim that an ohmmeter or multimeter can be used to check the primary and secondary circuits of...

    Intermittent misfire problem

Spark plugs replaced; works fine now I had the spark plugs replaced. The problem doesn't appear to be there anymore. Because it was intermittent, I'll watch it closely. I did some tests and couldn't recreate the problem under load going up hills. Thanks for all your advice.

    Intermittent misfire problem

I have a Mustang GT 2003. I just took it to a shop to get a series of things done for standard maintenance, 66,000 miles: new brake pads, brake fluid, coolant refill. I asked them to check out an intermittent sluggishness or rough running while going uphill and during acceleration. Its not...

Anyone driven their GT in the snow yet?

Using a low gear and slow speed, you'll be fine. Using a low gear and slow speed, you'll be fine. In Milwaukee here, my first winter here, I've been fine in low gear and slow speed. I've found that 20 or below on snow-covered streets, and 30MPH max on salt/sluch covered streets is just...

    Winter Tire Selection

I am trying P-Zero Neros; so far, no wrecks here in Milwaukee. I am trying all season tires here in the Milwaukee area. I have driven in snow before (Southwestern Ohio), but not with a Mustang: only front wheel drives. I have P-Zero Neros. They should be better than my Eagle F1GSD3s. I'll...

    Mustang II Member's rides

I want to rig my 2003 mustang gt to have a 'hood ornamant' must like that. Any suggestions?

    Please help troubleshoot my problem.

After tune, bucking at a specific throttle position under load Thanks for the details on the resolution. I just got a custom tune after having LT headers, a catted X-pipe and plenum put on (with 3.73 gears, also). I am having a 'bucking/hesitation' problem at about 1/3 throttle. It...

    My dyno results!

What octane gas are you using? That is a great setup. :nice: I will have one like it minus the CAI and throttle body. What type of gas are you using? -Andy

CHECK ENGINE Light at 28,000 miles

Some people said in this thread never take it to the dealer. This is true, don't, unless it is under warranty. My Mustang has a 36,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty. Everything is covered, and don't worry about the aftermarket parts you installed. They'll fix it for free. If in the unusual case...

    New Dupont products.

Application easy, removal difficult, shine average. I bought it for convenience of application on my wheels, which obviously are tough to wax without a spray, but I was dissappointed. Maybe I can find a decent spray for the wheels. I'm fine with a paste or liquid for the body.

New Dupont line of Waxes and protectants

Dupont teflon spray wax I bought it yesterday. I figured spray wax is convenient and easy. Unfortunately, it was more difficult to remove than anything else I've used (Nu Finish liquid). I applied it to my GT Premium wheels only. It was just tough to wipe off after application. The...

    Just got back from T&J

180 Mph If you maintain over 180 MPH, you should be okay, but I wouldn't try to outrun the police radio.

    4.6 and nitrous

Questions about your setup at 125 shot(how to be safe) What octane gas do you run? Did you have timing retarded, and if so, how? What kind of plugs do you use?

    nitrous question

Backing off the timing-> a question What does it take to back off the timing a bit. Does a performance shop have to do it?
  15. F

    Nitrous. Wet? or Dry?

I read the general installation manual for dry kits. It mentions nothing about the timing retard, but that's not to say it's not in the application-specific instructions. It would be disconcerting to know timing needed to be retarded for 125 shot, just because it's more work to do. I'm...

    Rear End Alignment?

Tire wear: something's wrong I've decided to take it to a top mechanic for assessment of the cause. It has had 25K on the set of tires. I think the outer edges slowly wore on both sides. A wreck would not cause equal wear on the outside edges of all tires. Further, I've been told that...

    Rear End Alignment?

I frequently take turns quite hard. Further, there's a couple of fun spots on a highway I travel with a 270% off ramp. Sometimes, I'll take those very fast. I'm thinking about having the tires flipped on each of the wheels, then have the wheels swapped. It's a novice's idea that may not be...

    Rear End Alignment?

I have same problem All four of my tires have wear on the outside edge. I have 24.5K on them, and inflated them to 30PSI on my 2003 Mustang GT. I was told by a shop that there's too much wear and they cannot be aligned without being replaced. Also, they did recommend I add more tire...

Just got new wheels, which tires should I get?

I have been reading extensively about tires. I have stock tires and they are fine, for now, on my Mustang GT, ,2003, but here's what I've found out so far. I have 3 main sources for my research... 1. Stangnet...both reviews and posts. 2. Tirerack.com: User reviews. 3...

    KB Dynoed at last

I will likely purchase the intercooled 9# Kenne Bell. With a larger throttle body, X-pipe, high flow cats, and BBK long headers (and American thunder cat back), I think I can beat those numbers, but we'll see...maybe. By the way, how does that compare with a stock Cobra? My goal has always...
