The Official Fox Body Production Number Thread

1 of 1,226 Vibrant white (WB) LX hatchbacks made in 1993 I had the 3rd gen registry break it down more: Hi, your Mustang was built on 6-8-1993, your exterior code is WB, your interior codes are DJ. Combined, your mustang is 1 of 330 built like this. If you would like a data sheet $10.00...

    Vapor Canister questions

Well I found the electrical connection. Its up by the hard coolant lines and theres another plug in that connects to the engine coolant temp sensor. So what're the advantages to having this hooked up? Does it affect anything else like a/f, fuel economy, performance? Or is it just there to help...

    Vapor Canister questions

In the front passenger side of the motor theres a little plastic box that vents fuel vapor. I was looking around and theres the hose that runs back to the fuel tank and its connected to the canister and another hose with a solenoid and an electrical plug-in and neither that hose or plug-in are...

    Fan Clutch Questions

How can I tell if the fan/clutch is no longer working? Would it spin all the time, or not spin the way it should? My car gets really warm in town but highway driving is fine. The cooling system is stock (new 180* t-stat, reman water pump less than 1000 miles). Theres pressure in the upper hose...

what do you think i'd get/run out of this setup?

My advice would be a good converter like the Street edge from Edge Racing or stallion from Precision industries. Even with the h/c/i and gears a stock aod would still be holding you back. Also if you get a converter dont forget a tranny cooler also.

    Intake Manifold.

Are you talking about the thermostat housing gasket? If so try using silicone to seal it up.

    Seafoam is teh *****!

I just used it in my fox and it worked awesome. It revs so smooth it almost feels like a mod motor. The car smoked and smoked, My chevy-lovin neighbor actually came outside to see what was going on, he gave me one look and started to walk back in his house but I could read his lips and I believe...

Car still bucking/missing...what do you think?

A friend and I have been trying to figure whatever is causing my car to buck/miss when the throttle is pushed in only a small amount and have come up with nothing. Over the winter we did a mild h/c/i setup that should be fine at low rpms and the car ran fine for about 2 weeks it started the...

    Who here is from Indiana?

Lol, yep I know Justin. I traded my notch to him for his white hatch which came from Winamac owned by some Grund? fellow and Ryan Stout. Just curious did he leave the nitrous and converter in it when he sold it to your friends brother?

    What kind of intake?

For a basically stock application I'd go with the Cobra because it still allows good low-end and because of the price. If you're looking for more in the future the TFS street heat is also very nice. The Typhoon is a cheaper intake based on the Edelbrock design, however the casting isn't as good...

    Who here is from Indiana?

Yes my notch was red with black molding. As far as I know it was the only 5.0 notch in Logansport. Now I believe it's in Plymouth.

MY 460 WAS STOLEN TODAY BY MY BEST FRIEND

I disagree with 408stroker5.0, yeah you messed up the quad and SHOULD take care of that, but stealing to compensate for it is wrong. If he was so worried about the quad then he should've taken you to court over it not break the law.
