crush spacer on the backside of the pinion gear is eating into the casing. Have it checked. Happened to me.

Screw the H and X pipes...Get a PROCHAMBER. If you can get your hands on a used PI motor, it's alot easier to swap than those heads, lol. Then again, you wont get the raised compression, but you'd still be runnin PI power.

i had an offroad X with straight through borlas and it sounded like *****. So i bought an X with 2 high flow cats and it sounds SO good.

the 96-98s all had that stupid cracking issue at the thermostat housing... If you really want the 97 to be a 13 sec car all you need is -Gears -Nitrous -Pullies/Timing Adjuster -and possibly PI power :)

Well, I just finished installing the Steeda pulley set and the timing adjuster...I'm impressed. I've got it running at 14* and the car seems to run smoother and when I hit it, it picks up noticably faster in 1st and 2nd. Haven't run it hard in third yet... I ran into a problem on the install...

No. A friction modifier was not used as far as i know. I brought him the gear, 75w-90 redline synthetic oil, and the install kit. New bearings were installed when the gear was installed...I dont see how they could go bad this quickly.
