Wow , nice car man. They are fast cars and reliable. I wouldnt go tryin to beat up on GT's though. My 03 GT that i had beat several s2000's on the track and stoplight to stoplight.:flag:
As for a drop , i recommend eibach pro kit which drops 1.5" . Others include CC plates , tokico shocks/struts , GT sway bar , shock tower bar , and also a strut tower brace. those things would make your v6 handing a world of diffrence!:nice:
If you sold those on either www.3.8mustang.com or www.v6power.com you could get enough money to buy you a set of spare stock heads. I wouldn't run that low of a compression as those are meant for a supercharged engine....:(
I would go with GT dual exhaust ( cat back exhaust cut off of a GT ) , and weld in some magnaflows or flowmasters with an welded in H pipe. Get on youtube , thiers a ton of exhaust clips with diffrent combo's
As for gears I agree with you. Get some 7.5" 3.73's with a ford racing Tlok. Just...
wait man , slow down....
How old is your tires? I would have them rotated and rebalanced. Sounds alot like your tires are out of balance.
But no the GT housing will not directly mount up as you will need all the hardware from the GT. You don't need a nw housing , as i have never heard of a...
94-98 ratio's are 2.73's
99+ are 3.23's
any 7.5" ratio gear will work. If you have an automatic I suggest 4.10 ratio to really wake up your car. After you have the swap done if you have a 99+ you will need an handheld tuner to correct your speedo , if it's a 94-98 you'll need to change out...
doesnt sound like a transmission problem. You might wanna do a tune up and make sure all the wires are going to the right cylinders. I had a 91 that did that when their was a bad wire
no your tires will not be wide enough for 16x8's You will need new tires. y suggestion is get some used bullitts with tires on em from either ebay or on the classifieds:nice:
With a little TLC , I think it will be awesome.
And I beleive and 94-98 door will work just fine. Look for a mustang graveyard near you for help.
And back to the top , I would opt for the cloth top as they look better!
Have you considered keeping it a V6 and doing a supercherger? Just FYI:)
We need more mods just to keep up with the GT's !!!
But back on topic , get tires for what your going to be driving for. For instance , if your going to be dragging or auto x'ing get the wider tires out back. My car is a cruiser , I opted for 245's all around for two reasons , It's a daily...
On a stock mustang save exhaust your not going to notice much change except for the tranny shifts. I wouldn't invest in one unless you do a gear swap or some significant mods...
