    Speedo Cable & Gear

I need to replace the throttle cable and gear in my '66, but not sure what gear (number of teeth) to get. 3 speed manual with a 3.00:1 differential gear and 225X17 wheels. I suppose the speed doesn't have to be spot on, but I'd like to be close to what I am really going. Any thoughts on the...

New To The Classic Mustang Scene

Hello everyone. I recently picked up a '66 Mustang Coupe and just wanted to say hello to the classic Mustang crowd. I had a 93 that I did quite a bit of work on, but sold a few years ago. I picked up the '66 from Streetside Classics in Charlotte, NC, a few days ago. Very clean and straight...

    Bad piston wrist pin

A couple of months back my Mustang started to occasionally sound as if it was detonation on one of the cylinders. It's been in stroage for the past 3 years and my Dad starts it up a few times a month, but he said the tick has gotten a little bit louder. We are going to pull the motor when I...

    Your car's website

Guys, I finally got around to bringing my site back up and I have a section called "Friends Cars" that I currently do not have anyone in. If you have a website devoted to your car and would like it added to my site, please either submit the link in this thread or email me. Thanks...

    Ankle Carnage!

I'm only posting this to get a "What should I expect?" response if the ligaments are torn or seperated from the bone. The X-Rays didn't show any breaks, but there is too much swelling right now to do an MRI. I rolled it slowing down after running, nothing crazy, but the pop I heard was pretty...

    French Alps Ski Trip

Just a couple of pics from my families "French Alps excursion". All of these pics are from the highest ski-able point on the mountain, which was 3466 meters, . The run from the top was a black and took us about 45 minutes to get to the bottom. Oveerall, about a 10-12 mile run. Well worth it...

    Wheel Options/Opinions

In the future (not anytime this year) I will be more than like upgrading my brakes and to 5-lug, which will mean getting new wheels. I really like my wheels that are on there now, but don't want to spend $500.00 per wheel. Here are a couple that I PS'd, but am looking for some options and...

    My bent wheel is fixed!

Most of you remember I hit a curb about a week ago... Well, I got it back from being repaired on Friday and it looks brand new. You can't even tell where it was bent. It balanced fine and drove just like it did before. I will admit I was a little skeptical about having it fixed, but I am not...

    Curbs suck!

I went around a corner and hit some rocks tonight. To make a long story short I hit a curb and this is the result. I gotta get it fixed, but all the suspension products in the world don't do any good when you hit rocks. Tim

    She's Back! ***DUW***

It's been almost a year (24 June 05) since I put my Stang in storage in Florida and headed to Germany. I came back for a visit, took it out and cleaned it up and took some pics. It was a sweet reunion... Nothing special, just some new pics. Tim

    A picture everyone should save!

Most of you have probably already seen this, but just in case you haven't... It's an excellent reference pic. Paul (ALMOST STOCK) sent it to me a while back, so I figured I would share. Sorry for the size, but you wouldn't be able to read it if it were smaller. Tim

    The Stang22 Story

Hey guys/gals, I post over here sometimes, but since I don't own a 94/95... Anyway, I made a complete story/documentary of all of the progess I have made on my car over a 3 year period. Basically, from start to "sorta" finished. We are never really finish working on our cars, but you get...

Another "How To Set Timing" Write-up

Yeah yeah, I know... There are hundreds of them out there, but I decided to make another. If I messed anything up, let me know and I will change it. http://www.leemotorsports.com/stang22 Click on the "Links" button, then the timing link. Or...

    ECU Ground

Daggar is going to shoot me, but... :p There are 2 wires connected to the ECU ground. One is the ECU ground (imagine that), and the other is ground wire going to the battery. When I relocated my battery to the trunk, I cut the small wire coming from the battery to the ECU ground, but the...

    Checking Grounds (Multi-Meter)

What is the proper way to check a ground using a DMM? There are a few settings on the DMM (A/C, D/C, Ohms) and I want to make sure I am doing it right with the correct setting. Thanks! Tim

    No fiire from coil

No fire from coil The coil is good, I have a spare that I tried as well. Fuse #18 has power and the red/green wire going to the coil is pulling 12v's. Is there another fuse or fusible link that I can check? The TFI, plug wires, cap and rotor are new. Thanks! Tim
