Ok ok ok, here is what I did. I finally replaced the starter and found the problem. I put the ground wire for the starter in the positive silenoid post. :shrug: OPPS.... I grounded the wire, hooked everything up and what do you know, it started. Thanks for all the insite.

Doing in this way took just a couple of mins to get the bolt out. Soooo easy, thanks.

Has anyone done a replacement recently and if so, how did everything work out?

I am just about done and ready for paint......then I accidently cut the brake line for the front passenger side. This is the metal brake line that runs along the fire wall. How hard is it to replace and how much is it? Thanks

I am taking out my old starter. What is the best way to get the top bolt and really all of them?

Jrichker, I have to check the ground wires and all but why would my starter be kicking over. Could the silenoid be crossed inside since I had the wires on backwards? I have the wires on right but the starter still tried to kick over and thats what I am confused about.

I got a pro 5.0 shifter about a month ago. After I installed it, when I hit 75mph or above, there was a major noise. It sounded like the shifter was falling apart from the inside. :bs: I just got a new pro 5.0 from the shop and had them install this one. Well, it is still making the noise...

I just looked at summit and they still have the driveshafts for $159. Looks like they have not raised the price yet on them. Is everyone running the Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft? Let me know ASAP. Thanks

Thats what I am experiencing at this time. I love my gears, its just that on the highway, they seem to be screaming going fast. It will go fast, just that the rpms are way up there. Do you think that a new aluminum drive shaft will help out a lot. Also, does anyone recomend any?

When I say that I am not able to go over 90mph, that is a guess at this time since I have not changed the spedo gear. When I get my car upto a good speed (poss 90 or so), the shifter starts vibrating a lot. I guess I will be able to go faster but I am not sure if anything is going to happen...
