yeah I didn't think of the test light while I was there :( I just checked again and it looks like the first code is 72 - 'system power circuit, electrical interference' wtf is that? but whats odd is that was the first code it threw and the haynes book says that that code will only be thrown in...

ok so I soldered up some wires to one of my turn signal bulbs. When pulling the codes some of the flashes are super dim and short....do you count those? don't think I ever saw ones like that with the bulb I used to use, but the turn signal bulb shows it....

that's what I was about to do. Wanted to get an aftermarket coild like Accel or MSD (any time something breaks, I try to upgrade it with aftermarket parts) but I don't want to wait for it to be shipped, so I guess I'll just get a cheapy :( oh well, off to autozone I guess. thanks for the help

yeah I did that already. I put a spark plug in the wire, held it against the intake, jumped the solenoid and got no spark (like NKau suggested)- I was testing just the coil with the books method to narrow it down.

I second the Borla motion. I have them on my stang and love them. They're pretty tame at idle but at WOT they're just unreal. I used to have 3ch flows and they droned, and these don't really drone much at all. If you get them, you'll love them. I also did feel a bit of a power increase...
