Thinking about buying a 2004 Saleen Cobra. Does anyone know how many of these were made? I'm test driving tomorrow, if I don't like it (when evaluating the cost/benefit), I may just get a lightning, now that they are discontinued.

Apparently, the best longtubes are custom. Cobra Killer was running a set of SHM LT's custom made, but they cost quite a bit $1000 or so. I think they're equal length long tubes. From what I hear, the Bassani midlengths give great numbers across the entire band, and you can install them...

I had to repair mine once, be advised, the front is going to be REALLY low. I fabricated a set of steel supports for it, and now when it scrapes, I just smile, cause I know it's the steel tubing and not my paint/bumper scraping. Forget about going up any steep inclines or declines......

Direct port is the way to go these days. It's more expensive, but much better in many ways. Nitrous can be a "cheap" and trashy mod...............beware of the cheapo kits. If you want it done right, go with a venom kit. It's fully computerized........shuts off if the a/f becomes too...

Ummmm, not really. You may indeed pick up hp all along the curve (which indeed is a point often overlooked), but long tubes almost always hurt lower end torque. The same is true for shortening the runners on the intake. It helps out up top (by breathing a little better) but lower end...

You don't have to put it in 1st, all you have to do is let out slightly on the clutch, it should go into reverse then. I emphasize, SLIGHTLY, being that you have limited experience with a manual.

You'll have to talk to Ralph (powerheads). He did outsource the cam regrinds, not sure whom though, it was there local in CA though. I sent the heads complete, but when they come back, the cams will be out (they have to send them to regrind them) and so they just left them out. I suppose you...
