    What would be the easiest swap? C-4 or the T-5? 4-sp? I currently have a 3-sp manual trans. Also, what about the bellhousing? Will I need an adapter or will the 351w bolt up to a c-4? It's an 81 351w 4v H.O. out of an E150 van.

    What's the machine work going to run me to have the Explorer axle? Is it an 8.8? My buddy has a 9" that he said I could have for a $100 but it needs to be shortend for my car. I think it's from a van. Machine work and new axles would prob cost @ 500-600 right. Thanks

    I bought an 8inch from a 65 that's going into my 65. It doesn't have any of the brake parts on it. No drums , nothing. Is it worth spending the cash on it or should I look for a complete rear? Gears are 2.90 I think. Are there any sources for the parts? Which donor cars are true bolt up jobs...

    gear noise?

    Yeah, this all gets old real fast. Gears are more of an art than a science. The guy who set mine got the install dead on but I still got a little whine, but I have 4.56 so some of the whine I'm sure is just because of the low low ration. I love having work done three times.

    Trac-Loc vs. Locker

    I had a Powertrax No-slip on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. It's is meant to be mild on the street. Let me tell you it sucks with a stick. I pulled it out and threw a Lcokright in the front. I have a Lockright in my Cherokee and I notice it less because it is an auto trans. Trans makes a huge difference.
