    Mach 1 is a str8 up good 4v n/a motor. I personally think the 99/01 cobra's are the plainest looking of them all. A mach 1 have more character imo. IRS all the way for track but if your looking for a drag car solid rear is the way to go.

    If your talking about cams different in hp your looking at 12 rwhp. HP isn't everything imo its your combo and power band. We jacked the thread. Lol

    If i'm not mistaken, the C heads are better than the B heads but when it comes to port and polish work the B heads are better due to the port design. The only think that 96-98 cobra 4v's have over the other cobras are better n/a cams. I'm rusty here on my 4v's. :rolleyes:

    Good luck with it but on a 150 shot i riped the rod from the piston on my 99 4v. IMO if your at the short block get some new rods and pistons.

    Well when i had my super charged 98 gt i got the SCT tuner, it was like $369.95, my friends shop had whatever else to tune it on the dyno.

    Yea on my 99 cobra i liked my Mac's, i had a o/r h pipe made good power. This stang i'm going to go with a X pipe cause for whatever reason they make 10hp more over H pipes on mod motors. Plus like to see how much the sound changes.

    See this totally depends on your build and how your driving it. From what we/I have seen, assuming we're not trying to push over 1000hp. A stock btm end seem to last the longest. That being said, knowing that the motor is stock other that H/C/I <heads,cam,intake> we focus on other things...

    Funny thing about all that stuff u listed it won't last long. I've learned that buying a motor that is stock and built by ford/gm is the best thing to do. Example buying a 5.4 s/c motor! Sure its a lot now but give it some time. But that thing will make some serious hp. Whatever to each there own.

    LMAO holy crap that is weak sauce if that is true. my 99 cobra motor put down 297rwhp with a full exhaust and a/c delete. if that really is the cause this cobra will be procharged soon!
