    New Guy, Need Info

TB isn't really going to help unless you have a bigger MAF sensor and programmer to adjust for the new airflow. Otherwise, it's a moot point.

    cold air question

Cold Air Kit doesn't mean the air temp is below freezing. It simply means the air will be cooler than with the stock setup. This is especially true with the fender wall mount. The air coming up through there is generally cooler than the air under the hood due to the temp from the engine...

CHECK ENGINE Light at 28,000 miles

The first thing you ALWAYS check when your Check Engine light comes on is if your gas cap is screwed on properly and tightly. If not, that automatically triggers it. In fact, read the gas cap, it says the light will come on if not properly placed. If that's the case, then fix the cap and it...

    is it atually 260hp

GM underrated those cars for two reasons. 1) As FallenPhoenix mentioned, they didn't want to upset their Corvette loyalists who spent a lot more money for similar horsepower. They had to keep the 'Vette as the perennial king until the C5's came out. 2) Insurance. . . the higher you rate...

    Once again, I have a prob.. :\

Your mods shouldn't affect the warranty considering nothing I see would have any direct impact on the steering or anything related. Technically, the warranty is not void until something you put on the car causes the malfunction. If they oiled it last time and didn't charge you for it and put...

Off Topic: 1/4 Mile of 350Z

I've run against a couple of these at the track before. I'm not sure if they were 5-spd or autos, but they ran right with me at about 14.2 - 14-3. They have the hp, but they gearing to really get into the 13s. Power does you no good if you can't get it to the road.

    Automatic & Gears Questions

You will certainly want what they call an "install kit" which includes everything like shims, etc. You should definitely replace those because once you start taking your gears apart, they become weak and it is best to spend the extra $90. Other than that, you will probably want some synthetic...

    BBK Cold-Air Fenderwall Mount Question

Okay - I put the BBK CAI kit on a little while ago and everything works great. It is now probably time to clean the K&N Filter. However, getting to the filter in the fenderwall is a real PITA. Does anyone have any advice on how to get to it easier?? I had a friend help me with the install...

    your opinion on diablo chips

The problem is not necessarily the chip, but where you get it programmed. I have a Diablosport custom chip and I've had no problems and it works great. However, I bought mine and had it burned at Reinhardt For by Dennis Reinhardt. I didn't bother to go through the company as it was cheaper...

:nono: Not true - both autos and 5-spd's in 99+ come with 3.27 gears in them from the factory.

Where is a good place to find. . .

I'm looking for two wheels for my 2000 GT. I have the five-star rims and I was looking to get two more in order to throw on a set of drag radials to use at the track. Does anyone know a good web site to find 2 used rims like my stock one? Thanks.

    Lt Headers

There is the possiblity of headers building up condensation and eventually starting to rust through like a muffler. However, most people get them ceramically coated or with jet-hot coating to prevent this from happening. It's probably worth the extra $100-200, IMO.

Am I the only one with a Pony stitched on the front seats? Ford seems to think so....

The reason you start to get those vein marks is because the leather starts to dry out. Those small little crease marks that form when you sit on them become very noticable because of the drying of the leather. What i recommend is buying some Meguiar's leather conditioner and putting it on...

    Changing Spark plugs

No - you do not have to take the fuel rail off at all. The plugs on the driver's side near the battery are relatively easy to get to. It's the two plugs near the windshield on the passenger side that are a pain to get to. The only thing you need is a very good swivel for your ratchet, a long...
