I just swapped in a 408 into my Fox body and have the edekbrock Victor EFI for a 351w. What has anyone done with the linkage.... I made it work but it looks hoky. I have the EGR deleted so there is no spacer besides a small plate to mount the linkage. Any ideas?

I found the correct pushrod length but the length is 1/4 longer than stock. The heads are NOT 1/4 difference in thickness. I have measured the stock head many differet ways and compaired to the RHS 200 cast iron heads i'm installing. They are so close I'm wondering if I'm off on the pushrod...

I had a new set of head and check the pushrod length when originally installed. pattern was dead center and narrow. In about 2000 mile the guides were shot and it was smoking. I had all the guides replaced and the maching shot could not see why the guides were worn out. The wear was not...

Can someone give me the measurements on a stock 5.0 head from the surface of the head to the tip of the valve. :flag: thanks Joe

Now that I found that the guides were worn and letting oil into the chamber...I checked the length and they are dead smack in the middle on the valve stem. What gives...now I have to spend $500 to get all the guides replaced on these new heads. Any suggestions????? :shrug::shrug::shrug:

pulled the plugs and the pass side cylinders all are black from oil. drivers side all look normal. TAKE YOUR BEST GUESS!!!! i'm lost thanks :shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:

I have an oil burning problem but this one is a little different. I pulled all the plugs and the pass side are all black with oil and the drivers side is normal light brown. The burning is mostly at idle and is clean when revved and kept at 3000 rpms or so. as the reves come down the blue...

Got these heads from a friend for cheap. Heads are NEW WITH 500 MILES BUT were run with wrong pushrods and the guides and 6 valves shot. 2.02/1.60 valves. Make offer. i think he paid 800 new for these. [email protected]

Well i got the adjustable guide plates on but could not get them lined up. When I torque the studs down the studs lean out throwing off the alignment. I think this is a case of crappy guide plates. I removed the plates and torqued the studs down. I slid the guide plates in over the push rods...

I am installing new heads and the roller rockers dont line up with the tip of the valve. Do I need the isky adjustable guide plates or is the head machined wrong. see picture
