I agree, though the 05Gt and the Mach 1 will be very close power/speedwise, it will be easier for 05 owners to have consistantly good 60' times due to the improved rear suspension allowing much better hookup.

The new mustang will be offered with 18" rims a year after lauch (or possibly earlier) with a set of 255 45R18 tires.
This has been confirmed numourous times and even in a video of the pony drive (announcer introducing the mustang confirms it).
The Mach 1 is an awesome car. But the 05 GT is a better car. Acceleration will be close but I can't think of another area where the Mach 1 will touch the new GT. Chasis, handling, interior, ride quality, looks (though that is objective), stance etc.
I've seen on up close and so have dozens of others. The general consensus is that the 05 looks much better than the 99+ (which does look good). This includes people who aren't stangers saying that the new car is sharper than the old one.
