    Gettin Close!

It gained over 100 lb ft of torque to the wheels with a 75 shot of N02? Am I seeing that correctly? That sounds very suspect....

Best Bolt On For 2500-3500 Rpm Power/acceleration

Most bolt-ons for these cars simply don't net you the power gains you'd otherwise be expecting for the money invested. However, a nice set of cams could give you a decent bump in power & would pair nicely with your 3.73 gears. As stated earlier if you really want to make power then forced...

    Rear Seat Delete Question.

Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, maybe I'm getting old (33), but I don't want a N02 bottle inside the cabin of the vehicle with me, period. It's just not a great idea. If a subwoofer box is more important than your well being then luck be with you friend. I've seen those go boom too, not pretty.

2001 Mustang Gt Vs 2006 Cobalt Ss

A 2.9 60ft time for the Cobalt?? What the hell was he doing? Was he trying to do his burnout to warm up the tires AFTER the light went Green? Haha This must definitely be one of the older Supercharged Cobalt's b/c the Turbo Cobalt SS was a legitimate 13 sec car in stock trim.

    Need Spoiler Advice

I'm not sure what it is with Nightfire, dude always gets into Internet pissing matches with others on here. He's not capable of just being above it all despite his apparent mastery of the English language & obvious car knowledge.

    Need Spoiler Advice

I removed the spoiler from my 2000 GT once for kicks & I absolutely could not stand the look of the holes left behind (even w plastic caps installed). I'm OCD with those types of details & it just looks cheap to me that way. I would probably go with the 2000 Mustang GT spoiler that is flush...

2001 Mustang Gt Vs 2006 Cobalt Ss

I think those who were saying that auto's are slower were referencing their comments to New Edge Mustang GT's (I should hope). And that is absolutely the case, the 5 speed GT's are much faster than their auto counterparts. As for the old push rod 5.0 auto's being even worse I remember those...

    Looking For Another Gt

Congrats on your purchase. The 2010 is still a very nice looking Mustang, especially in Black. If you do end up going with a Supercharger setup you'll easily eclipse the factory Hp/performance level of the Coyote & it will be plenty for the street.

    Looking For Another Gt

For just a few thousand more you're buying a FAR superior platform with the 2011 Coyote. The 3V's aren't slouches by any means but the Coyote will be capable of power levels (with ease) that the 3V's just can't touch. It sounds like you have the funds & an asset in the 2000 Vert so hold out &...

2001 Mustang Gt Vs 2006 Cobalt Ss

My advice to you would be to drop as much weight as you possibly can within reason. Remove the spare tire & back seat, show up with a 1/4 tank of gas etc & let it rip.

2001 Mustang Gt Vs 2006 Cobalt Ss

A 10.2 1/8 mile converts to a 15.91 in the 1/4 mile. So, unless you guys have a SERIOUS driver mod next time around the Cobalt should eat your lunch.

    Go For The Cobra?

Absolutely pass on the convertible for the reasons stated above. They're a PIA & add a lot of weight to the vehicle to boot. Don't settle for a vehicle b/c it's a "good deal", stick to your guns & something else will eventually come along.

    High Idle

Those idle speeds for an auto are just about right.

    2002 4.6 Injection Question

Assuming the vehicle is in good working condition- These cars suffer from what some people refer to as the "hanging idle problem". It's actually quite normal on a 5 speed car for the rpm's to hang a bit between gears. Ford dialed this in to smooth out the shifts & also to help with emissions...

2001 Mustang Gt Vs 2006 Cobalt Ss

He's going to smoke you. Unless, he completely flubs his launch & misses 2nd gear. Cobalt SS's & Dodge Neon SRT4's were really quick for their time & I've seen or been a part of many battles with them over the years. Those little :poo:boxes can hold their own, especially when they start cranking...

Possibly Getting A Used Stang...opinions Wanted!

If you want a V8 with the 5 speed then buy the V8 with the 5 speed. You'll be kicking yourself down the road for not buying what you really wanted in the first place. V6 Mustangs were given inferior drivetrains & the only upside of ownership I can see is lower insurance premiums b/c the V8 gas...

    New To Me 97 Cobra

Cobra engines have very peaky power bands so the very first thing I would do is have 3.73 or 4.10 gears installed. This will get you into the power band quickly & give you a bigger seat of the pants feeling than any bolt-on.

    Long Tube Headers Or Shorties?

As much as I love Mustangs, love my New Edge, let's not get into comparing them to Z06's. Those were purpose built track machines with REAL engines in them & they put the pain on Mustangs of all flavors 10 times from Tuesday most of the time haha. If you even want to stand a chance you better...

    Some Help/new Owner Here

That noise you're hearing when you push in the clutch pedal is the INFAMOUS Ford TOB (Throw Out Bearing/clutch release bearing). These cars & other Fords are well known for having noisy/whiney TOB's, it was a huge ordeal when our Mustangs were new. I suggest you just get used to the noise unless...

    Long Tube Headers Or Shorties?

I wouldn't call installing a set of LT's before going FI a "waste" b/c they're obviously superior to the stock manifolds by a mile. You just won't be maximizing the potential of the LT's with a relatively stock engine. The car will definitely sound a lot better either way. I'm not terribly fond...
