Where to go for a tune in NY/NJ

jon lund is tuning there car...they only own it and do the other mods to it. They dont have full control of their software, only people that attended advanced SCT training have that, and with the gt500 you need it. Not to put them down, they made good progress with that car but its sad to see...

    street tune or dyno tune

Than you are refuting every credible tuner in the nation, Chris Johnson, Jerry @ SCT, Job Spetter, to name a few. I have attended and completed the EFI 101 course, and other training. A dyno is not dead on, believe what you want, but you WRONG.

    street tune or dyno tune

You can't recreate wind resistance on the dyno floor, or the correct coolant temps, IAT temps etc, YOu can have the biggest floor fan, but it isnt the same.

    street tune or dyno tune

you just indicated yourself, A street tune will be richer on the dyno, and you will make more power by leaning it out, but then when you are back on the street its leaner than intended, so how can you compare apples to apples my friend. 2 exact cars with the same mods with same timing and a/f...

    street tune or dyno tune

If you are going to refute Dons knowledge thats just absurd, as well as even questioning mine. Don Lasota was onboard from the beginning with SCT, and still continues to do training for them. And if you really understood what Don was saying it goes like this..... If you have a said car...

    street tune or dyno tune

Thanks Randy, complements like that make it all worth it. I knew you would get used to the speed, told ya a novi2000 would have been better, lol. My street tunes take no less than 4 hours to complete. Its a time consumer, but i just can't let a car go not where i want it. Thanks Don for...

    street tune or dyno tune

a safe tune on the dyno, isnt always a safe tune on the street. A safe tune on the street, WILL ALWAYS be a safe tune. The whole thing about "picking up more power on a dyno" from an already proven street tune is just BS. If the same guy is doing the tuning, and tuned it off the street or...

    Chip

depending on what chip it is and what software, for 100 buxs it might be alright for a core...but u really need to get a custom tune. no 2 vehicles are the same and the difference between 00 to 01 processors wont allow his tune to work with your car. Most local tuners will charge you a fee for...

best place to buy sct xcal2?

you will never get the tune you want just by buying a unit mail order, your best bet is to find a SCT dealer close to you in your area and have them custom tune the car...it is much better, safer, and you will be much happier with the tune. I dont even do mail order tunes for that reason, you...

    spy shots of 9" rear

and actually if this was a normal 9 inch with no lightening tricks done u would see it loose marginal power because the 9-inch locates its pinion gear lower on the ring gear to improve tooth contact. This strengthens the rearend assembly but at the cost of approximately 2 percent loss in power.

    spy shots of 9" rear

actually this wont eat up any more power than a 8.8.......this rear has the same rotational weight as an 8.8 the 35 spline axles weight just 1.5 pounds more than a STOCK 28...and overall weight is a just a bit more than an 8.8. anyone running close to the 600ft/lb mark is at the end of a safe...

there was no slag in the headers....when they were sent out to jet hot they were cleaned before i sent em.......plus i port matched them to the heads.......then jethot went thru them........totally metal free......and they make top power amongst the long tube choices for the modulars.......kevin...
