    Question about a transmission swap

    The transmission in a friends 1996 Mustang Cobra went out but we were able to get one from a donor GT. It came of a 1996 Ford Mustang GT. Question is, will the swap be a direct fit or will i have to do any other adjustments to make the GT tranny fit into the Cobra?

    Yeah, I was thinking I was going to need the wiring too. Any way to do it with out the coil on plug ignition? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

    Planning to replace the motor on a 1996 GT and I figured why not go with a PI motor. What would be needed to to put a 99+ motor into a 96 car? Thanks in advance for any help.

    I was able to get 96,000 miles on it before it finally gave out. Car is a 96 GT by the way.
