    As rare as a Packard?

I wrote that II article for Mustang Enthusiast Magazine a while back, and am currently writing a new Mustang history book coming out this fall that I hope will begin to set the record straight on the II. There's a simple reason why uneducated people say stupid things like the II was "an...

    Insurance Industry practice

Hey, Dave! Sorry to hear about your insurance hassles, but you should check out Haggerty collector car insurance. I have it on my 78 King, and on my 80 Pinto wagon. They are both reasonable and understanding. You can apply online. Check them out. BTW: I put Sal's question in my "Inside SVT"...

    Carlisle 2005...

Dave: I've asked Jenny to come with me, since my brother will be driving in from Bethlehem, PA -- but even if she decides to make the trip from Michigan, she won't be driving our silver King. I'm looking at getting rooms in Shippensberg for the SVT guys. Hey, I went to Spring Carlisle...

    '06 Cobra, worth the wait?

It didn't make sense for Ford to kill the Shelby Mustangs either, but that's what ALWAYS happens when mainstream takes the performance business "in-house" ... you can buy a Terminator now or face the possibility of an '08 Cobra III automatic. (Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.)

    Gorgeous King Cobra on Ebay!

Very sharp eyes, guys! Notice there's no photo of t-tops installed or of the KC buck tag but there's tons of photos of a hood snake (which anybody can buy). Close look at hoist shots show orange peel in the paint job -- may need more color sanding done. The wrong engine, interior, speedo, wheels...

    mustang louvers

OK, boys, here it goes. I'll try to attach this pic of my set (unfinished here) that Jake at visuslouvers.com is making for me. Yes, they are an exact fit for 76-78 but you need the factory hardware ... let me know if anybody wants more info on em.

    mustang louvers

Guys, the louvers set that I'm having made look just like factory and fit 74-78 hatchbacks. They are 1/3 less weight, as the aluminum is changed from #6061 to #5052 on the center strip spines and changed from #6061 to #3003 on the slats (but using the original design and shape). Both of these...

77 Cobra II goes for $11K

Anybody see that low-mileage (23K) 77 T-Top White/Red 302 Auto Cobra II come and go for $11,000 on ebay yesterday? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=2486349768&rd=1 Who knew that a clean, unmolested low-mileage Cobra II would land that kind of...

    mustang louvers

I'm having Jake over at VisusLouvers.com make a new set of factory-style 78 aluminum louvers ... any interest in having him do a batch for us II fans? They look just like originals but use stronger spines and lighter shades. I can show you pics if anybody's looking to have him make a repro set.

Mustang generational ignorance continues in '05

    2005 in Vancouver

    CARLISLE THIS WEEKEND.....

Hey, Dave: Yup, I missed out on Nashville but was assigned SVT trailer duty for Carlisle, which forced me to miss my own son's graduation! But I got to meet and talk to a lot of the II owners who stopped by, and I even had my silver King on display in the T building. There were some nice IIs...

    CARLISLE THIS WEEKEND.....

    CARLISLE THIS WEEKEND.....

I'll be there, working at the SVT trailer, and my silver King will be in the Mustang display building (no, that's not Dale Rabe's car -- his is a low-mileage mint original and mine is somewhat restored with 103,000 on the ticker). But I am looking forward to meeting you all, so stop by the SVT...
