The kit I used for the conversion from R-12 to R-134 was only about $8-$10. It included both nipples for the swap. Your local parts store shouls have them, so try Checkers. That's if you guy's have those in your area. Yes, all the freon has to be recovered properly too. This I can't help...

You could just have defective wires. It's common with those things around here. I would try exchanging them for another set, try them, and if they don't cut it go with FMS 9mm set. They are only $40 or so and are good fromwhat I'vd heard.

I have the E cam in mine and had the same problem. First I thought that my TPS was bad so I replaced it and no change and then it was off to clean the MAM sensor, no change. I heard about the IAC air adjuster and that was the fix for me. It's worked great, cheap, and solved my idle problem...
