    help

Are your plans to swap in the entire 2000 V6 engine complete? If so just follow any of the posts that discuss the Split Port Swap. The entire process is simple it just requires following directions and matching up sensors and injectors. As for your fuel rail. Locate one from an E-150 or...

    PLEASE HELP:2001 FORD MUSTANG V6 3.8L

The sensor is towards the center (Passenger) of the lower intake. It will be near where the upper hose connects to the intake. Post up a photo and we can point you to it. This is what I was able to find out on the web here. Let us know if this helps.

    96 engine swap

I'm going to simplify this greatly but, go to salvage yard buy a complete 4.2. Buy a 01+ Mustang flywheel and balancer. Install all of your FEAD (accessories) onto the engine. Install engine and trans in your car. Rewire engine for the relocation of sensors and modules from the stock...

2000 Mustang GT CCRM/Fuel Pump issue

If you replace the CCRM Ford does not need to see the vehicle... You have another issue that needs to be located. I had ground issues on my car after it sat for >1 yr.

difference between headers and mid pipes.

The problem is that the engines have different widths. I was able to use a stock 5.0 X Pipe with a small amount of adjustment when I put long tubes on my car. But like it has been stated, any good exhaust shop should be able to bend up what you need. What headers are you looking to put on?

How much would speedo be off

That would make it approx. 13.4%, since all 99+ V6's come with a 3.27.

    Filler Necks

It should fit, as mustangs use the same tank.

How to make my v6 fast

It's been once that has been documented on the interweb at least. Matt Neuharth at Delk has a 95 V6 that has run 9.85. He is making well over 550 rwhp. All it takes is time and money, so get ready to spend both. I would get a different car if I had 7K to spend in parts. Check out...

    2002 v6 specs

Do you have a auto or manual?? Big differnce in numbers between the two. You started with 193 Flywheel horsrpower, and should have somewhere between 140-160 rear wheel horsepower now. All depends on the car and the conditions when/where the vehicle is dynoed at.

    01-03 3.8 in a 96-98 body

Actually the motor mounts are the same from 96-04. The swap isn't too bad I did it 3 years ago. If you do the entire engine it would be slightly easier. There are a few issues that need to be resolved, and all worth it to me. Even better would be trying to find a 4.2 from an e-150 or...

    Rearend upgrade?

This has been the problem for others. They put the 99+ axles into a fox housing, and they have issues with leaks at the axle seals. The axles will fit, but they will leak also. Also you will run into the 12 vs 14mm headed bolt issue with the axle bushing.

    rust on an 02 V6

I drove my car all winter last year in St. Paul, MN. I only had problems when we got 7 inches of snow. Like it was stated though, I washed my car twice a week if I could. You will always get surface rust on any unprotected metal. My 96 is in excellent shape, but I have taken care of it.

    Debating BBK headers....advice?

Are the BBK's long tube headers? The MAC long tube headers took me alone about 10 hrs to install with the X-pipe. This was on the garage floor fighting them and trying to remove the exhaust system that was there. Just barely had enough room to move things around under the car without a lift.

Compatible engines and trannies for 98 Mustang

Very broad question. The T5 from the 94-95 GT and 94-98 V6 is a direct bolt in. The T5 from the 99-04 V6 will require changing from a electronic speedo gear(on the tail of the trans.) to a mechanical gear. Clutch and flywheels are different between V8 and V6. The T45 from the 96-98 4.6's...

    Best Headgaskets for a 95 V6

The MLS(Multi-Layer Steel) gaskets are the best ones to use. Here is a list that I borrowed from V6power: (Part Numbers to the left) Here is what is needed for a proper head/cam swap: 2L3Z-6079-BA - Valve Grind Kit (heads, intake , intake seal, valve cover, and tstat housing gaskets)...

    tranny swap question

See in your other post. One note...the pre 94 GT transmisson will not work. The 99+ V6 trans is like a world class T-5. You will run into issues with the speedo gear if you get a 99+ trans though, mechanical vs electronic pick up.

    better block?

The 99+ blocks are better than previous years. The 01-04 blocks are considered the best by design, even compared to a supercoupe block. Any transmisson that will bolt up to a 5.0 will bolt up to a V6. This is with the proper flywheel, or flexplate, etc... You are going to have to make...
