it's really getting annoying. it does it when the car is cold. it squeaks in unison with the idle. slower at lower rpm's, faster at higher rpm's. seems to stop once the car has warmed or the fan kicks in. is it a pulley? any suggestions? maybe i can record a clip of it if it helps.

k, well the belt is replaced. it was pretty simple. i guess it was the flow of the belt that was screwing me up. i still had to route it the way it was on the car and not the way it was in the provided schematic. it would have rubed against the tensioner. look at the pic to see what i mean.

ok, i'll try that. but what's the mystery object with the ? mark? i'll find out if something doesn't work afterwords. any ideas?

what would cause bad gas mileage anyway. i've got a 2001 and i get approx 150-170 miles out of the tank. this isn't normal is it? :shrug:

Listening i get horrible mileage now w/ my catback an o/r. i mean like about 120-130 miles to the tank. is there a way to make it better? it sucks, especially with gas prices lately.

so what does the classic mustang sound like? :shrug: i remember hearing a side exhaust system this summer and it sounded amazing, but i have yet to find a clip of something similar. BTW i like the sound of his SLP. at idle it's not appealing but when he gets on it it sounds like a freak.

in my 01 the TC comes on whenever it detects wheel spin. whether it's straight, turning, reverse etc... i just keep mine off even in the snow. i just find it easier to control the car without it.
