My Fog lights must be too bright

I agree that this is the problem. Old guys like me remember that two pair of lights means high beams. Flashing is almost reactionary and has nothing to do with actually being blinded. I think if our fogs were tinted yellow or positioned lower they wouldn't cause so much of a reaction...

LOL - maybe they're undergoing cold weather paint tests!

to tune or not to tune?

Hey, if you go that route, let me know. I'm thinking of getting an 87 tune also in hopes to making my shifts a little more responsive. (I hate that little lag before the revs drop.) Since I drive over 100 miles a day, keeping it at 87 will save me quite a bit of $$$$. Hey white06, by the...

    New GT!

It's just part of another interior package that adds a second color to the seats and door trim. I like the stitching, but prefer a solid color interior. Have fun with the car!

    New GT!

It's a beauty...I'm jealous. Just curious...did you happen to get the option with the stitching on the dash? (And the horses are a nice touch in the background :))

    07 GT Differences

I'm getting real close to pulling the trigger on an 07 GT, and have been looking at performance options. On fordracing.com, a number of items appear to be for the 05 and 06 only. Can anyone tell me what, if anything, changed on the 07?

    Car pics... pre/post lowering springs

Are there any lowering kits that do NOT affect ride stiffness? I may order a GT in January. If I do, I'd really like to close up that wheel gap a bit. But for the driving I'm going to do (long freeway commutes), I don't want a ride any stiffer than it already is.

    RPM drops between shifts

When downshifting, yes. It's good to rev the engine to where the RPMs will be after you release the clutch in the lower gear. That's what "heal and toe" shifting if for. You blip the throttle to get the revs up - "rev matching". However when upshifting, you (or at least I) want the RPMs to...

    RPM drops between shifts

I can't buy that "drive by wire" is the reason. Drive by wire can be anything that's programmed. If it doesn't bug you, fine. But I happen to like a bit more response. What's involved in a "new tune"?

    RPM drops between shifts

Well, yes, I guess I do. Seems like kind of natural result when you lift off the throttle, doesn't it????

    RPM drops between shifts

I just came back from a test drive of a new GT. Nice. The one thing that bugged me was that the revs did not seem to drop between shifts. I own 3 other stick shifts (including an '87 5.0) and don't experience that with them. Is this normal?

Next Gen Stang to include 4 doors/wagon variants?

I'd have to bet against it - Ford almost made a HUGE mistake when it tried to take the Mustang to FWD (Probe). I find it hard to believe (although not impossible) that they'd use the Mustang name plate for sedans. I sure hope they don't. Even though Chrysler did it with the Charger, the Charger...

Trying to purchase a GT500 for MSRP

There's an article in the latest Hemmings Muscle Machines where a guy paid $20,000 over sticker for a GT500 - and was complaining about it. The thing is, dealer markup requires both a greedy dealer and a willing buyer - in my book, if someone pays the extra $$$, they've got no right to complain...
