    A TurboCoupe has a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder. In 1988 Ford put out a Sport Coupe with a 3.8 litre 6 cylinder with a supercharger on it. I dont know how many years they ran the Sport Coupe

    Clutch is in

    Finally got my clutch in my 88 turbo coupe. Just in time for it to rain the next 6 days start. Still it feels great to drive it again. Just waiting for the track to open and see what it runs.

    HOw many MPG do you get on your 2.3?

    Last year on vacation averaged about 26 miles to the gallon on 3 tanks of gas. One of the tanks I averaged over a hundered miles an hour. Kinda kills the gas milage only git about 22 on that tank.

    Gas is about 224 for 90 octane here in Ill. Gas is so high Im going have to quit my job just to save money.

    Thanks for your help. How much horse are you running on your stock Turbo Coupe? Also Ram Power grip clutch runs $240 for TC application. Any feedback on those particular clutches?

    What I am trying to ask is if I get a Ford motorsport King Cobra clutch kit for a 5.0 will i need to get a different throw out bearing or will it not work at all. All other dimensions seem to be the same. Maybe im just ignorant but thats why Im asking questions.

    Yes it is an 88 TC. I am planning to do some mods I would like to get between 300-35- horse out of it when Im done. Will a stock clutch handle that much for very long? It looks like Ford Motorsports would drop in but I might have to get a different pilot bearing? Just guessing on the pilot...

    power steering questions

    Auto zone has remanufactured pumps for about $100. I am going to replace my pump in the near future. Let me know how it goes. I have a 88 TC with a bad pump and a rack and pinion seal leak. :(
