    Spark Plug wires

Try to stay away from the Ford Racing wires. I went through 2 sets because the boots started to dry out and crack real bad after about 1 year. Moroso is also the same way. Right now I am using the MSD wires and they have been the best set by far. After 3 years the boots are as soft and pliable...

    Valve Body Help

I need a little help from people with valve body experience in C6's. Currently I have a TCI #421000 valve body in mine but it is not 100% manual control. Here's a couple of things I don't like about this VB. 1. When downshifting, it will not go back into 1st gear completely unless I shift...

Has anybody experimented with fuel pressure on a stock motor?

Stock MAM and no U/D pullies. In fact, I have an O/D water pump pulley (93 Cobra pulley). The fuel I run is oxygenated, maybe that has something to do with it.

Has anybody experimented with fuel pressure on a stock motor?

Well, it has stock H/C/I, MAF, TB, original motor, no rebuilds, 15 years old, almost 2,000 passes, 107,000 miles...... all @ just under 3,500 pounds. Still runs like it did when I bought it though. The car is quite an overkill for the motor, but I plan on changing that eventually. Since I go to...

Has anybody experimented with fuel pressure on a stock motor?

Millhouse, that totally never dawned on me. I guess I'm thinking too old school, lol. Doesn't 12.0 A/F seem a bit fat? That 12.0 number is what caught my attention when I was brainstorming about ideas to get some ET. If I could lean it out a bit, that would get me some ET. But does 12.0 sound...

    90/10 struts

I'm not quite sure you need anything as aggressive as 90/10's. The Strange adj. ca be pretty soft if that's what you set it up for. I drove around once with all the settings set at 1 and it felt like I was riding on jello, lol. I can set my shocks/struts to the 10th setting (stiffest) and on a...

Has anybody experimented with fuel pressure on a stock motor?

I have found myself in a situation where I need to find just under .2 seconds with my bracket car. It used to be the footbrake class we have around here was just one class with all cars run and a fast ET limit. Now we have sportsman and pro classes with pro class using a 13.99 ET cutoff on the...

    90/10 struts

Strange makes 10 way adjustable OEM replacement shocks/struts. Ever think about those? They are relatively inexpensive. I've tried multiple combinations on mine, you can basically set it up for any kind of driving. Only thing I don't like is the plastic adjusters, they fell flimsy, but i haven't...

    Spool...mini?

Just to let you know beforehand so you are disappointed. You're probably going to lose .1-.15 seconds with the spool and bigger axles. The spool does reduce weight, but the bigger axles add weight. Between the added axle weight and the slight drag of the C-clip elims, you're gonna lose some ET...

    Spool...mini?

You may not want to spend $500-$800 on a locking differential. But, for the same price range, you can get a Moser spool and 31 or 33 spline axles w/C-clip eliminators. If you use a mini-spool on the street with stock axles, you're just going to end up replacing the axles eventually anyways. For...

    Timing Lock Down

That's what I've heard. But I run a C6. There's nothing left on the car that is stock besides the motor. I wouldn't run an AOD if my life depended on it, lol. Reason I wanted to lock out the timing is consistency. Usually the car is deadly consistent. But, once in a blue moon it'll throw me a...

Bad wheel hop after switching springs??

Try getting some adjustable shocks for the rear. I installed the Strange 10 way adjustable on mine and after testing all settings at the track, I had wheel hop in the burnout if I went any lower than the 4th setting. If I keep it above 5, it's fine. Might be a different situation as yours, but I...

    Timing Lock Down

I've tried everything from 10° to 22°. It seems to work the best at 20. The extra ET the car picks up in the 60' is much more than it loses in the top end. Maybe .5 MPH and .05 seconds at most. But, from 14° to 20°, the car gains almost .2 seconds in the 60'. So far it's gotten in the high 1.8's...

    Timing Lock Down

Actually what I'm looking to do is run the ignition locked down. Some call it locked out. It's a track car only. I want to run the car with full advance at all RPM's so I won't be installing the spout connector. This way the computer won't have control over advancing the timing at WOT. What I...

    Timing Lock Down

I've got a '93 5.0 bracket car. I will have a chance this Friday to do some testing. This is the first chance I will have to try different things in quite a while so I was considering locking down the timing to see if I can gain some ET and make the car more consistent than it already is...

    Check valve system removal

Cool, thanks!! That's all I was looking for. Appreciate it...:nice:

    Check valve system removal

Yeah, I have removed all of the emissions/smog controls on the car. There is a metal tube that runs from the back of the heads into the air diverter valve. I took all this off years ago, but I capped off the tube/pipe. I want to get rid of this pipe and cap off those outlets that go from the...

    Check valve system removal

Does anybody have any ideas on now to cap off the check valve assembly? I have removed the entire system, but still have the pipe connected to the back of the heads. Basically, for years I have had the pipe capped off where the two pipes intersect. I just want to get it out of the way because it...

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

Is that with stock injectors and stock fuel pump?

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

BTW, I will not know about the ET cutoff at Moroso until next week, so my decision to upgrade won't be for a while. I still have the Edelbrock heads I can get for REAL cheap. Performer RPM heads with 2.02 valves. It's going to come down to those heads and cutting my pistons, or the wet NOS...
