    I may be wrong about this HG, but if I remember right, no matter what you do with the idle screw, the computer is going to try and compensate for it and override it.

    Strange noise coming from the back wheel.

    I agree with brake system being a likely culprit. I had a noise similar to yours coming from my rear right, turned out my caliper had frozen up and was eating the poop out of my brakes. We were able to disassemble the caliper with some moderate beating, greased it up, and it works fine again.

    I thought about checking coolant level, but if my understanding is right, the compressor should kick on one way or the other when I jump the low pressure safety switch. It is not kicking on, even when jumped.

    Had a similar experience myself. Ended up being a bad headlight switch. These switches actually build up a decent amount of heat (related to the dimmer I believe) Its a cheap fix.
