I've had three Trans-Ams and two cobras and this 03 Cobra is the most incredible car I have ever owned. Just wait until you get bit by the mod bug.

Try running a modded cobra next time. A stock cobra is a waste.

I agree. A stock 03 Cobra will beat a stock SS unless the Cobra driver is incompetent.

I have the Diablo chip, 2.93 pulley, MAC cold air induction, BBK throttle bodies and full exhaust(headers, x-pipes, no cats, cat-backs) and I am getting 440rwhp. I plan on getting the Apten ported blower, 2.80 pulley with 100mm idler and should get 500rwhp with a good tune.

I have owned 3 Trans-Ams and 2 Cobras. I traded my 01 WS6 for an 03 Cobra and have never regretted it.

I am hoping they will supercharge it and put it in the next Shelby.

Stock for stock the WS6 is easier to hook up and the Hurst shifter is much better than the POS in the Cobra. On the other hand once you learn to launch the Cobra it will reel in the WS6 pretty fast. The ram air hood on the WS6 is mean looking, while the Cobra is a sleeper. A lot of f-body and...

I traded in my 01 WS6 for an 03 Cobra and couldnt be happier. It costs an arm and a leg to mod a WS6 and for $3k in mods my Cobra kills Z06's.

In the real world, there are a lot more modded 03 Cobras than modded Z06s. And when you start talking about the 700hp Kenne Bell Cobras, then you are talking Viper numbers. There is always something faster out there, so beware. BTW, the new issue of MM&FF has an article about a V-10 Cobra...

Similar performance stock v stock? Stock sti is 300hp and stock Cobra is 390hp(and Ford is sandbagging, its closer to 425hp). I spent $2k in mods and was dynoed at 440rwhp and 462rwtq. There are Cobras with 2.80 and 2.76 upper and 6lb lower pullies and ported Eatons making over 500rwhp. And...
