    Ok guys I just got a great deal on a mach 1 alum shortblock for my 96gt what heads would you use? 4v with p&p and cams? 2v pi with p&p and cams? I would kinda like to stay 2v but would I make much more power with4v? :shrug:

    I don't think it could be your injectors :shrug: I also dont think it could be your fuel pump you would get a different code. It would make more sense that you have a sensor problem eather causing your ecu to lean it out or just getting a bad signal. I would take it to a dyno and just pay for...

    3v heads on a 96-98GT

    IMHA the bigger problem is the entire front of the motor the variable timing extends an inch or so further forward so the valve covers,timing chain covers, A/C brackets and all of the front pulley system will have to be reworked :mad:

    What kind of performance loss with 18's?

    I made the same change and lost .4 :mad: I could not believe it so I took both sets of tires to the track and made 2 passes on each all in about an hour and I did loose .4. Now my cobra R's with nitto's are for sale to be replaced with Welds and BFG. It SUCKS to spend $500 to gain .4 and spend...

    05 gt 3 valves per cyl

    I don't think these heads will be an easy swap. I looked at a picture of them and the variable cam timing part adds alot to the front of the cams so the chain covers will not work or the valve covers and everything on the front of the motor will be pushed forward :bang:

    98 gt auto -- 3.73s or 4.10s ??

    I have a headswapped 96GT I feared the gear and went 373 one month later I went to 410 they are great :hail2: I drive 10 miles at 70ish to and from work each day and go on longer trips each week. Traction is not un managable. GET THE 410s you will never look back :p PS I do have a set of 373...
