Why not just paint your factory console bezel silver?
If you'd rather not chance it, you could get one from a junkyard or a car that's being parted out very cheap.
Just a thought.
MAC[H]Z is correct, the Machs are quicker off the line and the LS1s have the top end advantage.
I ran the time on the attached timeslip with nothing more than a shifter, stock everything else. They run well.
Essentially though, between the two it's a drivers drag race.
Either way it's a great car with good performance.
But yes a manual has a bit more.
Downsouthman is right, go over to the mach1registry.com and poke around, do a search, look at the quarter mile lists, they designate manual or autos, etc.
I just raced one this afternoon.
SS, 6-speed, from a 40 mph roll. Slowly pulled him in each gear until we shut down for about a 1 full car-length lead. Top of 2nd gear to 4,000 rpm in 4th gear. My car is stock, and close as it was, I'm sure his was too.
Raced another that was lightly...
Ditto GaPonyFarms' comments.
Factory stock Mach 1's are running high 11's at over 115 mph with the stock heads, intake, TB, MAF, etc. and the shaker blocked off. Just full exhaust, gears, tires, suspension, weight reduction and good drivers.
34Ford,
Was answering to myrez99 not your post. Subject said he wanted to see pics. Just tryin to help.
Try a search over there, I'm sure someone has exact measurements for you.
You will love the car should you get it, best of luck with your decision.
To each his own, but I like the understated stripes and would never change them (except maybe to remove them alltogether).
