    Fuel line questions

I'm pulling my engine and it looks like the last thing holding on are the fuel lines. Two questions: 1) Do I have to release the fuel pressure? If so, how would I go about doing that? My manual only talks of running the car with the inertia switch disconnected, but I'm not exactly in...

    C4 filter swap question

Quick question, I tried searching, but C4 is too short <_< I'm replacing the filter on my C4 (origainally out of a 76 cougar) and when I dropped the filter, a spring and check valve dropped out. I'm guessing the check valve goes in first with the smaller end facing into the spring, then the...

Everyone wanted to do that after him... that ***** was CRAZY expensive.

Return of the custom audio build diary!

you're mistaking using a sub as a great addition to an already great system with installing 4 15s and no front stage. A system really can't be complete without at least a single sub that can reproduce the lower octaves. Rock without kick drums. Jazz without string bass. Orchestra without...

    Too much lift / duration?

hmmm... the heads have 2.02 / 1.60 valves. Does this mean no heads until I swap the pistons?

    Downsides to carburetion?

I'm reading that thread right now. Apparently I'm freakin blind <_<

    Downsides to carburetion?

Thanks. I don't live far from work and I have a new car for my commuter, so mileage isn't really a concern for me. And, as you've said, in the past I haven't seen a big diff in MPG.

    Downsides to carburetion?

So I was talking to someone today and it hit me... this EFI shyt is EXPENSIVE. MAF conversion, new injectors, new intake, tweecer or new chip once the performance additions have been made... PITA. All cars I've had that have been built were old school, so they were carbed. Much cheaper...

    MM&FF Intake shootout

I'm still leaning towards the 347. I've already got ported TFS heads that flow almost 300cfm, haven't solidified a cam yet, either. Most likely at 280 or 296 Comp cams. Or maybe I'll just stick with an entire TFS upper ;)

    MM&FF Intake shootout

I'm trying to decide on an intake (I like the TFS-R, but it's a bit hard to come by) and happened to come across this article. I figured others could get some use out of it as well, so I thought I'd link it. http://musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/173_0101_super/index.html

    Too much lift / duration?

I was hoping someone would be able to give me an idea, though... I'm sure someone has tried a similar cam with stock (unnotched, I assume) pistons. Of course, I would test it to ensure I wasn't hitting, but I'd like to know ballpark if it's even possible before I spend the money. 5-10 thou...

    Aluminum Drive Shaft question

Sorry for bumping this old fella, but I was contemplating an Al driveshaft myself. However, it was more for performance reasons... lighter DS means less rotational inertia. I had thought of picking up this as well as a lightweight flywheel... no performance advantage? I had assumed it would...
